In any case, they included 2 leather backs (pink + blue) -- which are NOT the official LG leather backs. They are VOIA brand. However, on the box of these leather cases, they call it "Original accessory licensed by LG". Design is almost exactly the same as the LG one, except there is no stitching and there is some metallic plastic at the sides (leather doesn't go until the very edge of the back). But texture of leather is exactly the same as the original LG one.

Besides that, they also gave free 128GB microSD card (Class 10 SDXC, also Voia brand) and microSD adapter, 2 plastic screen protectors, and battery charging kit, which I appreciate.

Overall, at M1, this one costs $30 more than a leather G4 (w/ batt charging kit only). At Singtel, same price as regular leather G4. I find this white-gold a better deal than the leather G4 (even though I only use 1 SIM)!

Also interesting is the model number is H818N (same as other dual SIM variants), and software version of this is v10a-SEA-XX, after one update. I think this doesn't follow the update cycle of your H815, but I hope when Marshmallow comes it comes to my phone just as quickly as yours.

Hi bro...u just bought the phone right? Do you encounter any issues like touchscreen problem or Lag?

Planning to buy dual sims one...but search online there's alot complaint about the touchscreen and lag...

please advise bro...thanks...

I haven't really used the original G4 for long period of time, but based on my personal experience, no touchscreen problem -- which btw was alr fixed on the regular G4 via software update.

Lag is very very occasional. Phone is naturally very fast, a small stutter happens very occasionally, so occasional that it can be overlooked. Unless you are playing an intensive game like Asphalt 8, it will be buttery smooth!

Agreed. In fact, trying side by side against my 5x, I find g4 opening apps faster and runs them smoother as well.

Kinda weird but maybe also becos marshmallow is still quite buggy and many apps support are not there yet.

How to Root your G4 V10D

Hi people,

I had receive PMs on how to root etc.

I will post it here so everyone can refer it here.

Not that I mind receiving PM but it will get quite confusing. :o

While downloading the rootedimage (its 4GB), you can download the other folder required:
LG_Root


After you got the folder and rootedimage, transfer the rootedimage into your phone internal storage.

Put your phone in download mode and connect it to your PC. (I know it says G3, but its the same)


After you got it in download mode, open port.bat and make sure to write down the number after com. There maybe different com numbers but choose the one that has DIAG1 on the same line as it.

Hold shift and right click in any empty space in the extracted folder(LG_Root). Choose open command windows here.

Copy and paste: Send_Command.exe \\.\COM[*insert your number here]

Copy and paste: dd if=/data/media/0/rootedsystem.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0

Wait until you see # again.

After that type "LEAVE" , it will reboot and you have your phone rooted. :)

I am sure after root, you will install xposed framework.

These are the steps required.

Download Xposed framework (xposed-v78-sdk22-arm64.zip): Here

Download official Xposed installer (XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk): Same page as above.

Install FlashFire: From Here

Make sure your phone is fully charged. Make sure it's unplugged from computer or any power source.

Flash Xposed framework using FlashFire. (Just use the flash .zip option. Do not check Automount) It will take 10-20mins. Don't worry. :)

Install official Xposed installer. (Normal installation just like your apps)

i followed all the steps above and had the phone successfully reboot which means i should have root access, but when i used root checker basic to verify it says my root access is not properly installed?

weird, restarted my phone and tried to verify it again now it says im root installed. thank u so much skyline for the help :)
