My G4 suddenly shut down while I was using it today. Tried a few times to restart but it is stuck on the boot screen with the LG logo each time. Anyone encountered this before? I have loads of messages and photos not backed up!

Whoa...got 10f already! I did update check but still 10e. Do you have the kdz file for 10f?

This happened to me also. Exactly the same. Service centre took 3 days to repair and replaced my motherboard.

Waiting time was quite ok. I also went early on saturday morning. Only about 10 mins.

Data completely gone and cannot recover :(. Fortunately a lot of my stuff was saved to SD card.

No, not a chance your data can be saved, sad to say. I spent about a month running from one repair shop to another, leaving my G4 at one shop for 2 weeks, pleading them to find whatever way to salvage my data n that i am willing to pay, no problem. All shops told me they tried all ways but there is simply no way. 2 advised me to take it back to LG to repair since i still got warranty instead of spending 100++ and unable to get back my data.

I gave up finally and brought to LG. They just took 1 day n i got the message the next day evening saying my hp ready for collection. Am I supposed to feel happy that it's so fast? N yeah, i got back my G4, looks just like the day i bought it... Inside clean as can be.

So we are just unlucky? I am using my spare phone, G pro 2 now, also had rebooting problems before, luckily had a close shave tho n saved my data before it died. Not so lucky with my G4. Well, as for me, this is the final straw..

Yesss, first time using LG and this happens... Prolly not gonna buy it again :/ It's so sad cuz I had kinda high expectations for it.

any one just updated the software recently? my phone started to have the purple notification light blinking with no notifications.. super annoying.. wonder if you guys face this problem after updating..

mine just happened now, stuck on the boot screen LG logo. Gone case already, need to send to repair......:(

Sometime ago i posted here about my friend's G4 bootlooping at LG logo. Sent to service centre and they replaced mobo and camera.

The repaired phone now has much better battery life - still have 70% after a whole workday, while previously it would be close to a battery swap. Obviously not a 1-1 comparison since mobo was swapped, but the apps installed should be more or less similar.

Anyone else with similar experiences? :s11:

Did you update to v10e as well?

I left my phone at the LG service centre. Now using my old G3, which I realise actually feels smoother and more responsive :s22: The only thing is that the battery life is horrible. 100% this morning and now dropped to 22%..
