I think I have to factory reset my phone since I updated my phone le.

Anyone experiencing issues with SystemUI?

Is there any particular system setting which make the phone prone to bootloop or any thing about bootloop that I may have to be aware of?

No it was fine while on lollipop.

My only limitation now is i have only 1 sd card so i cant pop in a 2nd card to see if still have the issue

Here are some suggestions that you may want to consider and perhaps, systematically go through.

1. Use another USB cable

2. use another sd-card (perhaps, borrow a sd-card from a friend or buy a cheap 8GB/16GB $5 one off qoo10)

3 Backup all contents of your supposedly, problematic sd-card to your pc then reformat the card on your phone. Transfer contents back and see if it works.

4. Reinstall OS using LG Bridge. From LG Bridge select Software Update > Update Error Recovery. (3rd party apps and data will be intact you will only loose root - that is if you are rooted) NOTE: Bridge will update to the latest firmware version in this process.

5. Worst case scenario, full reset in which case everything will be wiped clean.

6. Good luck

Same goes for mine, did factory reset. Battery depleted so much faster than even on 10d.

after about 5 days of usage on MM I can definitely feel the inferior battery life. Even idle standby overnight now drops 5+ percent instead of the previous 1-2 percent

I updated to MM V20B using LG bridge, Singtel set. My update failed 3 times while phone was upgrading (had to pull battery to restart). I ended up using a diff computer to update and it was ok. Hope this help those who experience similar prob.

After update, call fwding did not work so I did a factory reset and function restored after that.

Phone is noticeably faster and smoother, but battery life has deteriorated. Phone is also running super hot, battery temp can go up to 46 degrees just in normal Web browsing in aircon room??!

Anyone experience same heating and battery issues? Mine is 505 set btw, hope it's not a sign that my mb is going to up lorry soon

Sounds like going to up lorry soon. Probably related to 505 batch motherboard issue.

Im waiting for my phone to be return as well as far as I know they are doing a PCB board replacement.

hi guys, reading the last few pages and the notorious 505 keyword keep popping up.

Thinking of buying the G4 now that my G3 screen cracked and the dam thing isn't usable at least until repaired (which from many feedback the service center sucks)

Can someone point me wassup with 505? how to see the set i'm gonna get issit the problematic batch?

Check the serial number - starting with 505. This is the first batch of LG G4 that came to Singapore in May 2015 / early June.

Recently roughly 47 people in this forum phone suddenly died (experienced bootloop, stuck at LG logo, etc...) Latest list here. Most who sent in had the motherboard replaced. We highly suspect is manufacturing defect.

At the service centre, some reported back that the people in front of them also had same problem. Actual number of problematic phones should be much much higher than 47. Expected lead time for part arrival is about 1-2 weeks. This is mentioned by LG in an update SMS for those who sent in their set.

I suspect SG may have gotten all rev 1.0 for retail at that time for 505 sets but if you happened to purchase a set with rev 1.1 do give us a shout-out. Anyway, you can check your hardware version by doing the following -

Dial 277634#*# on your phone dialer which will bring you to the service menu > Svc Menu > Version Info > HW Info

As for your last question, as far as I know LG does not do a 1-to-1 or immediate swap of the whole set unless, your phone catches fire or explodes in which case, they should give you more than a phone.. if you know what I mean..

Replaced a cracked G3's screen at LG before
Costs $190.00 before GST, labour charges was not charged as it was under warranty.

If your G3 is off warranty, it would cost much much more to service officially and you would be better off selling it off as parts. Trade in value of G3 at telcos is currently $250.00.
