Doubt it would be cheap :zotto:
But it comes with matching satki headphones :(

haha probably gonna be over 1k for the whole setup :s13::s13:
($840 for G4 launch day street price)

Read somewhere that badly built usb type c connectors might destroy the device if they didnt control the current flow.

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016...e-thats-so-bad-it-fried-his-chromebook-pixel/

yeah gonna have to be extra careful when using 3rd party Type C cable. Best is use the app called CheckR to verify the cable. Or purchase the cables reviewed by the google engineer from Amazon.

There is no rear button on N5X, so more alike to v10, only placement is the same at the back.

Same f/1.8. 16 MP (f/1.8) + 8 MP (f/2.4), laser autofocus, OIS, LED flash

Oh i meant the finger print sensor placement :D
but nice to know that they placed the power button like the V10 :)

Not nice if still need to press to use the fingerprint. N5X/N6P type is the best, no need to press any button.

Rear placement is also the best if always put phone on table face down like me. Another advantage of rear placement, take out from pocket immediately see screen.

If LG bundles the DAC module and the Cam Plus along with the G5 for the same RRP as the V10 ($1088), I'd probably go for it.

No one can hide the moment I hold it up above my head and below my butt or between my 2 legs..LOL! !!!!!!!!! :s13:

Anyway, looks like a vibrator to me as how the lady hand is holding it! =:p

Hate to admit but G5 seems tempting..

5.3" screen is ok for me. Been a fan of G2 and currently on G4. G4 is perfectly alright to hold naked but when u add cases it gets a tad bulky and stretchy on the palm.

MicroSD, removable batt on a metal uni-body design.. hats off to LG.

Notification LED and FM Radio is still there so that is good. I hope there is an user option to turn the "Always-On" feature to off so as to conserve battery as a 2800mAH batt is a bummer..

The only "LG flen" I liked was the 360 Cam and the rest I can personally, do without unless, dirt cheap.. which I doubt.

Missing app drawer is a let down but not a huge loss cos personally, I use buzz Launcher on all my phones.

But however good or technologically advanced the G5 may sound I am not taking the plunge until 6mths after its release to see how it goes with the early adopters. If anything the G4 has taught me is to be patient, until problems are ironed out.

EDIT: Ok confirmed. The "Always-On" feature can be turned off from settings..

If i use other launchers like nova launchers will i get the app drawer?

Yes. On Xiaomi phones Miui Ui there is same problem no app drawer but I use buzz which easily gives me app drawer. So problem fixed, at least for me.

finally caught up to MWC news

got to say I am disappointed but not too surprised.

have said before that if they cut the battery capacity it will be dealbreaker for me. the camera which i loved from the G4 seems to not have been substantially improved (waited and waited for remarks that the sensor is larger, and got let down) and instead they added a second camera to do wide angle which people can already do with a clip on lens

magic slot, as i feared seems to be a super proprietary thing that adds the kind of value that could easily have exist within the device itself. There exist phones like xperia series with dedicated camera shutter button, or ZTE axon pro with inbuilt 'hifi' DAC but LG makes those into external 'accessories' and calls it an ecosystem.

the most ironic thing is the phone screen shrunk but the phone didnt become more portable cos it grew in height...
