Those guys in the samsung forum must be so grateful that outbreak isnt a samsung user else he go to their forum and troll nonstop about how the S8 will have the same potential battery issue

My G4 had it and they said it was due to the quantum display stuff or whatever hence they changed it to a new one that was no longer quantum display early this year.

If the G5 has the issue as well it probably means they were also manufacturing the displays way beforehand and it was too late to change.

I would say it is quite annoying and I think the same thing is affecting V10 and V20 as well. I am running out of idea what android to get next. Maybe next generation of Google Pixel if it is no longer ugly.

Had the same LG Bridge error.

Opened up the logfile

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\LG Electronics\LG Bridge\SWUpgrade\PhoneLog

Found the opendll url was returning KDZ filesize error.

Checked XDA, found that by replacing pkg03 with pkg02 works.

Copied the entire line into web browser, substituting pkg02 for pkg03, download the KDZ.

http://pkg02.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/d...1482241661&h=e45ffae6f39ec2a4b4258c47247543fa

I know there are mirrors up, but I'd prefer to grab it direct.

There's another post on XDA, on how you can make some changes to your hosts file and have LG Bridge grab the file from the pkg02 location, so no need to mess with LGUP.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69911643&postcount=112

In other words

go to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

with notepad

add the line

203.247.157.64 pkg02.lime.gdms.lge.com

Then try LG Bridge again

Naturally, download at your own risk.
