Hello, i just bought a used G6. Is there any way to know the warranty until when?

its a info that the buyer should have provided to you

cos the way any warranty works is they start from date of purchase, i.e receipt as proof

if you cant give that proof at service centre, the guys there will declare the start of the warranty as the device's manufacture date which means you might have less total days of warranty counted remaining.

So far my G6 has been very reliable and I also didn't hear people complain of any major issue. Should be ok

I noticed after the new update. I hv to restart my phone once every few days.

Before that I seldom restart my phone.

I am using the latest firmware, V20d-Aug-10-2018 (as above in my post #2747) aka Software Version: V20d-SEA-XX but did not share same experience.

May i know why do you need to restart?

Not sure why battery drains so fast at night.

Background apps are running to sync or backup data?

Always-on display is activated throughout the night?

Try to go to top right corner (2nd photo, vertical 3 dots), select show all usage to identify the probable causes.

I did see the "show all usage" but there was not much app contributing to the drain.

I have AOD on whole night and day before. Never drain so fast. It is on the low setting.

There is a lesser known feature under Settings > Extensions > Smart Doctor > Diagnose.

It will highlight those mobile apps which are not being used but running in the background and draining battery.

Lost fingerprint capability and even options in the menu to turn it back on. Suspect due to device administrator rights given to office company. Also oreo update. Any clues how to resolve other than factory reset?

Happened to me. Did a factory reset and issue solved.

Thanks, still trying to see whether there are easier routes to do this.
Did you have device administrator rights given to some particular apps, when this happened? And did you set those up again after you factory reset, and does the fingerprint maintain without issue?
