Comparing to G6 back design, S8 is really like thrash!

I'd prefer the matte black like on the V20. Gloss looks kinda cheap but still gonna get the black because the front appearance looks much better when screen is off.

G6 black is for sure looking much sleeker. The camera and finger printer scanner placements are totally so wrong on S8 if this is the real deal.

samsung should have just kept the fingerprint scanner in front. But their obsession with winning the screen-to-body-ratio arms race of 2017 seem to make them want to cram as much as they can on the behind

HTC = Help The Company. :s13:

IMO They don't deserve to be helped.

They were on a good roll with the HTC 10, then started making crap like the bolt and U Ultra. Removing headphone jack and using a proprietary USB-C audio standard basically giving audiophiles a huge middle finger. Marketing the Sense AI assistant for the U Ultra and then shipping the phone without it.

S8 suppose to have the fingerprint sensor right below the display. They couldn't get it to work as intended so a last minute decision to throw the fingerprint sensor to the back.

If I'm not wrong, the S8 has an iris scanner so I think most people will use that instead.

In any case I'm not a fan of curved screens. Heard a number of horror stories where the S7 Edge is dropped just 1 time on it's side and the screen cracked.

I'm glad LG is still using flat screens.

Ya but the G6 bezels are thinner now so technically the LG is kind of also less protected on its side than its predecessor.

And with LG joining samsung on the glass back bandwagon, now you get to have cracks on both the front and/or back if you do drop it...

The best way to be safe is still use a case, and pray the phone lands in a lucky position if you ever drop it. Or just get a 3310 lol

Well, you hear one such story here now. One drop one crack... Very fragile
