What is the current price(cheapest) with local warranty?
Haven't even official releaseWhat is the current price(cheapest) with local warranty?
Not much phone choices left if you mind LED so much. Unless you want to wait for Sony XZs and One Plus 5. I simply don't like the curved screen of S8 and its stupidly positioned finger print sensor

Musicsg_com can you do some charging test to see the charge time from 10% for 30mins to see how much it charged up?
Many thanks
While LED notifications are purposeful, I find them to be generally ineffective, because the LED is small, and most of the time it pulsates, which means I need to stare at the light for a few seconds to know the colour. And then I need to determine based on the colour what kind of notification, provided I actually configure the colour. So I end up having to turn on the screen to know exactly what messages I am missing.
In the old days, we have only missed calls and missed SMS. Today, we have so many notifications for so many apps, the LED is just not up to task anymore. It does not show multiple colours for multiple notifications, does it?
The Always-on Display is a lot more effective. While it is unfortunate that the G6 does not have the Notification LED, at least there is the AOD to fall back on.

Different user different needs and perception. One cannot expect another user to be similar to you or meIt's funny isn't it? Missing LED Notifications is actually a deal breaker while having the finger print sensor at an awkward position so high above is totally fine for some people.![]()
Yes I just did and here's what I find:
- V20 delivers stronger boomier bass. The mids is also slightly elevated to sound warmer overall.
- G6 produces slightly clearer highs, possibly due to the recessed bass. The airiness is more apparent compared to the V20.
- Sound staging and instrumental separation are similar.

Hi musicsg,
The Koren LG G6 seems to be using the ESS 9218 chip, whereas the Singapore model is the ESS 9218+ chip. Would you know if there's any difference between the two?
Thanks
Quite true. When I switched from pro2 to v20, I missed the nice blinking led. But now with diff notification icons displayed on locked screen is not too bad. At least it wont keep blinking during our sleep. Also in a way, save powerWhile LED notifications are purposeful, I find them to be generally ineffective, because the LED is small, and most of the time it pulsates, which means I need to stare at the light for a few seconds to know the colour. Incorrect, Pixel _has_ the LED, just not turned on by default, which can easily be turned on using an app.
My comparison is based on the G6 Korea unit, which I assume was ES9218+. I guess I have to test again when the local unit is launched.
If the Korea G6 is indeed using the 9218 chip, then it should sound same as V20 that I tested. Having said that, I wonder if burning-in has an effect since the V20 I tested has been in use for more than 3 months.
Yah but with lockscreen notifications nowadays, I don't see myself missing it anymore![]()
