Depends on how you define as fragile, if u sit on the phone while it is in your back pocket and you are bui bui and it crack, is it fragile or cause you are buibui and kumgong?

if you drop it onto a hard concrete floor from above waist height and it crack, is it fragile or you are butter finger?

nowadays with glass on metal 7 curved screen construction phones, its almost impossible to prevent accidental damage when you use it, i would say a case is required and its not fragile. If manufacturers start making phones using plastic and well protected like the old nokias, then will have pple kaopeh its fugly and chunky etc. Bottom line, spend so much money on a phone, just shell out a few more dollars to get a case rah :s22:

I was so happy about the two year warranty as a victim of the g3's bootlooping, but it doesn't cover cracks.

Btw if it's useful to anyone, starhub's* customer service officer via Facebook mentioned pricelists will be released over the weekend.

Think you can try p20. Usually they will have cases for the new phone releases. Bro shager here already have his UAG case imported Liao. Can ask him for pictures of his G6 with his UAG case :p

I got a Spigen hybrid case from Amazon USA. I ordered two by mistake so I put one up for sale on Carousell. If anyone here is keen let me know. Pickup from Raffles place, and happy to sell at cost.

so basically glass is the new leather :s13:

For those who dont know, back in 2015, the LG G4 had leather variants, and the brown and red leather backs were super not-durable, like the amount of material wear and tear they could get (especially in the corners) was really sad, way worse than the paint primer chipping off on G5 problem.

I had a plastic G4 so I was safe, but a different kind of material problem plagued me, it was the purple AR coating on the camera lens, which also wore/scratched super easily and also wasnt covered by warranty (all cosmetic damages are not). In 2 years I have had to replace the lens cover 3 times with spares bought from ebay

As a previous owner of LG V10 (horrible battery) and V20, I can say I will not go back to LG anymore until they change their LCD. The ghost image is horrible. I haven't encountered bootloop (luckily) and their body is superb, but the screen, urgh. Once you have that ghost image you will hate your phone. And LG doesn't acknowledge it as defect on their end.

But I'm loving the design of G6. Really hope LG fix their common issues that they keep on denying.

I was ready to snap buy, but now I think I'll take a month or two to see if there are any widespread issues.

I've had v10, and v20, and now G6. In addition to ghosting, light bleed is an issue with the former phones. So far no issues with G6.

Every phone has issues. Even the Pixel has bluetooth issues. No one makes perfect consumer products. The question is when it fails, will you be supported?

It's just a phone, not a car purchase. Don't think too much. There are more important things in life to worry about.

Ghosting shows in my phone after some months. So hope G6 really fixed this issue. It's a very nice phone, build is superb. As expected from LG (V10 and V20 are tanks. :s13: )

its too early to tell for image retention ghosting to occur.

My G4 took nearly a year for it to manifest. Same for my mom's G5. It hasnt even happened to my dad's G5 yet cos he doesnt push the display to max brightness as often.

I never encounter ghosting on my G5 or G4 either.

That's why I adopt a policy to sell within 6 months or less. That way less problems to deal with... :s13:Hopefully by then the MIX2 will be out.

Indeed.. if you have OCD. Better don't buy a LG. They deserved to lose money every year due to poor sales. It's not like they are the only OEM using Android OS.

For those people who intend to use this phone for more than a year. Don't expect LG to provide prompt Android updates. They are slow to deliver and not optimise for good battery life. It will be a substandard effort..You better think twice before investing your money on a LG phone.
