I took out the battary for a day. Clean all the surroundings of the LG robot. Put back the battary and start the robot. It goes well for a while in learning stage but only clean half the hall (like only 4m by 4m), it goes back to base station without cleaning the rest of the hall and the bedrooms. Really going nuts on this robot. Did this a couple of times by removing battary and cleaning the sensors using Novus 2 fine plastic scratch remover, same thing occurs.

Is there any button whereby you can press and reset the memory of the LG robot? Or any button to press to let it go to true learning? Seems like it is confused and not learning at all. LG manual also did not state any reset to factory default button or learning button. Product manufacturer never think through that machines can fail or work abnormally and need a factory reset button to bring it back to factory default status.

As my set is from the local agent, I called LG up and they told me there's no reset button. Have to switch it off and try again. If still cannot then need to bring it back to the service centre.

So it depends who you buy from and you can send it back to the seller.

Actually I forgot to mention, when I wipe the sensors, I did not use novo 2. I bought the novo 2 and use it to remove the fine scratches and tried today, it works fine now. Thanks. Novo 2 fine scratch remover works!

I use novo too. Works like a charm whenever my robot starts moving like a drunkard soul.

Most DIY shops like homefix should have.
Ask for novo scratch removal.

To confirm confirm.. these are the steps?

english.rar (13.3 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!OBxX3Jja!GkwjYRdOHHuPdNjgu1Hpsmhgh199tNyMjuHmEIyEKxg

1. Extract this to a clean usb (format to fat32)
2. Turn off robot vac by switch
3. Insert USB
4. Turn on robot vac by switch
5. Press start button (lid can be open)
6. Wait. It should do luigi "here we go" and you'll see light on usb stick flash.
7. Wait for complete message.
8. Turn off robot vac by switch

The script will create a folder called SNDDATA.old on the USB stick and copy all the sound files off the robot into the folder, then copy the english sound files off the USB onto the robot vac.

Nice! Tested it on my 6262 model and it works. :D:s12::s12:

Can finally understand what's my kimchi maid is talking about liao.

Can't seems to find firmware update for my model though. :(

Edited: Seems like they are all using the same firmware. Successfully updated mine to rev9785 too.

Groupon now selling model VR5906LM for $499!

I think that's a older model. Still, is it good buy?

For anyone staying in the West looking for novus 2, you can go to self-fix at Westgate for it.

Hi Guys/Ladies, thinking to purchase the Roboking VR-6360LVM or VR-6270LVM from Qoo10.

Understand warranty is based in Korea so will have to send back for repairs. But if I bring it in to LG Singapore, will they agree to service the unit at a cost?

I don't mind paying LG Singapore in the event it breaks down rather than send it back to Korea.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks!
