not sure if anyone can help. my hombot square gone crazy. it now comes out for about 1 meter from the base station, then says cleaning completed and returns back to the base station. I've tried cleaning the sensors but still the same. is there a way to reset it?

shift your base station away from it's current location to make it initiate learning mode again?

oh its ok now. I changed the mode from zigzag to cell by cell, let it run awhile, then switch back to zigzag, now its ok. phew!

Hey I am using a Roomba 630 now and pretty disappointed with it. It can even skipped the whole room and it kept cleaning the same room again and again. I feel like exchanging for a 6370... May I know if the LG Roboking is very reliable? Like if it breaks down very easily. I heard iRobot has good reputation for that and Neato always breaks down...

yup lg roboking has been reliable for me so far. its cleaning is very systematic, it cleans my 3 rooms and dining area and living room, it will go back to clean if it thinks it has missed an area. the problem with roomba is that its cleaning pattern is very random, so it can clean over an area many times while giving other areas a miss, and it takes a very long time to clean since it doesn't know where it has to before. roboking maps its cleaning area, so its completes its job in a much faster time.

My bot went crazy last nite. Normally the kitchen is the last place it cleans. Last night it went kitchen first. Then after cleaning every where else EXCEPT my bedroom (****i!!), it goes back to the kitchen and kept cleaning the kitchen till the battery almost died. WTF??!!

My Roboking got stuck under my sofa and some furniture as well... It is brand new (Bought it today!) so I guess the sensors are all fine. Using a Roboking VR 6370 LWM btw... Is there any firmware update for it?

There will be some situation that roboking cant deal with. Depending on your home furniture setup. You just got to understand them n setup ways to prevent the bot being trapped by it.

Normally I will just brush away the dirt and quick wipe with damp cloth. Is that ok?

BTW my bot is less than 3 months old and I only use it twice a week.

Its not that smart when it comes to avoid stuff I realised. I have a clothes stand which I can't find a place to hide so I was prepared to let the bot go around it. But it keeps crashing into it instead. After crashing into it then it realises it has to go around. It doesn't avoid it.

Also, I've no place to hide my swivel chair so I place it at one corner of my room. Once it got stuck in the gap between the wall and one of the legs of the chair. So I had to position the legs in such a way that its too small for the bot to attempt to go into.

It also attempted to climb over the ledge outside my bathroom. So yeah, you need to remove as much obstacles as you can 'cos unlike what LG claims, its not really that smart. LOL!
