Its not that smart when it comes to avoid stuff I realised. I have a clothes stand which I can't find a place to hide so I was prepared to let the bot go around it. But it keeps crashing into it instead. After crashing into it then it realises it has to go around. It doesn't avoid it.

Also, I've no place to hide my swivel chair so I place it at one corner of my room. Once it got stuck in the gap between the wall and one of the legs of the chair. So I had to position the legs in such a way that its too small for the bot to attempt to go into.

It also attempted to climb over the ledge outside my bathroom. So yeah, you need to remove as much obstacles as you can 'cos unlike what LG claims, its not really that smart. LOL!

Yeah. Managed to somehow fix the low furniture problem :)

Other problem I had is it sometimes crash into my bicycle and nearly making it fell so gonna buy a bicycle stand later... Also it kept crashing into the ironing board which isn't any serious problem so plan to fix it later...

Its navigation compared to the Roomba is really miles ahead. It travels around my house like as if it knows all its way around.

Normally I will just brush away the dirt and quick wipe with damp cloth. Is that ok?

BTW my bot is less than 3 months old and I only use it twice a week.

I was adviced to use micro fibre cloth with those spray you use to clean mirrors. Works very well so far. For more serious scratches, they will impact sensing. You can buy those scratch removal liquid foam from DIY shops. I've mentioned many times here if you see your bot keep knocking into same furniture repeatedly you should find a way to prevent it. Protect your bot from scratches and damage. If you do nothing and let it continue , you only shorten it's life span.

Also remember to remove the stuck hair regularly. I do it once every 2-3 weeks. Regular maintenance makes your bot healthy. Just like a car!

Must be temporary insanity. Now its back to normal. :s13: Although occasionally it will only clean HALF of my bedroom. Then I will need to move the base station back and forth and it will try to re-map the entire area then will be okay. Damn weird.

When I get one, I'm gonna try cutting Daiso screen protector to stick in front of the camera lenses....

My Roboking got stuck under my sofa and some furniture as well... It is brand new (Bought it today!) so I guess the sensors are all fine. Using a Roboking VR 6370 LWM btw... Is there any firmware update for it?

mine likes to hide underneath sofas too. oh, and wires. will take a while to free itself from stray cables.

overall no major complains, it did what it could.

With the turning wheels and many spinning brushes, wires and cables are a big no no. Better remove.

Hey guys! Another question... Is there any way you can prevent it from trying to climb over objects? For example like this
LG RoboKing 3.0 - improved hard-to-reach space cleaning - YouTube

I don't want it to enter my kitchen but it is passing though it :(

Does the cloth attachment prevent it from doing that?
Yes it does. I forgot to attach it once and it tried climbing over the ledge and tried to enter the bathroom. Bloody fool got stuck there and started beeping. :s13: But with the attachment on it just bumps into the ledge and moves off.

OT a little. Does your's avoid things or bump into it? I was under the impression its smart enough to avoid things but judging from the scratch marks (mine is barely 4 months old), obviously its been banging into things.

Less than a month old, mine already has really visible scratches on the front sensors :X
With the mop attachment, I now have another problem..... It cannot move backward on my carpet...zzzz

The unit cannot be 'off' when docked (w power 'on'). Do you u guys leave the unit charged all the time or 'off' it when not in use (meaning either has to off the base station and the unit or undock and off the unit)?

At first I turned off both the dock and the unit. Later I found it a hassle as each time I turn them on, it takes time for the unit to charge. Since I use it twice a week, I leave both on permanently now. According to the manual its okay as the battery wouldn't overcharge.

All robot vacuum have to power on home station with robot together for 24/7 days, either turn it off for both also..

If like Roomba the PCB already can't last longer due to battery leakage.

Recently my bot start to get stuck climbing over 1cm hurdle. Anyone knows what's spoiled or which sensor to clean to recover this?

1 cm hurdle is quite low. Isn't it supposed to climb over?

The kerb outside my bathroom is roughly 2 to 3 cm high and without the mop attached, the bot will attempt to climb it and then get stuck on top. :s13: So I leave the mop on to deter it from climbing. Anyway the mop helps to pick up dust too.

On another note, do you guys use your mop dry or damp? I believe the manual said its supposed to be used dry but I know some people spray a bit of water to make it damp (not wet).

looks like good buy.. this model good? :)

Collecting after work today :D

It's a low end/budget model. My first robot vacuum so didn't want to spend too much. Around the same price range as those little known brands. I'm hopeful

Collected last Friday. Now learning how to use it efficiently as it gets stuck pretty often. Happy with it as it does what it's supposed since it's the basic model.

got mine delivered on Sunday. Still figuring out where best to put the base station. Did a few test runs and it does seem to pick up a decent amount of dirt & hair (maybe my house is really dirty :o). Guess if I put the base station in living room and I wish to vacuum the bedroom, I should pick it up and start it in the bedroom? My rooms got quite a bit of obstacles so kinda challenging for the bot..
