Perhaps can disable game battery saver
But isn't using a powerbank to charge e battery more efficient
Done that, doesn't help a thing. I believe its due the CPU scaling as phone heating up. Do you have the laggy boot animation as well? Just want to confirm mine is not a defective set..
Same here. Pokemon GO started to stutter when the phone heated up. I'm not sure it will happen for other games as well but something is just not right. Even my Xiaomi Note 3 runs smoother with Pokemon Go. I hope it's not due to hardware issue because of the heat. Also, it may be due to the low ram availability since the memory usage is so high even without the game running.
Unfortunately, we noticed thermal throttling - the LG V20 would heat up and benchmark scores would fall on second and third runs.
i think its too much effort needed to drive that QHD display. Not surprise that a 1080p xiaomi can run more easily. And heat buildup in such a slim body is inevitable.
maybe pokemon go might even be the least of your worries, better do some video recording stress test and see if prolonged video recording causes throttling and dropped frames which can easily happen if youre trying to shoot a long 4k video
On holiday in Taiwan now and the problems with auto mode camera shots are slowly building up. Trying to learn how to shoot in manual but that's going to take a while as I can't tell an exposure from an aperture from a hole in the ground lol.
Everything else is great though, battery life is champion
That's something I've always hated, coming from the front sensor on the iPhone. So much easier to unlock the phone cuz you don't need to pick it up off the table. The V20 isn't the only phone with a rear sensor, so I won't hold that against LG

Hmm true. I have not try with 4K recording. Regardless this is really bad for a flagship as I do more gaming than 4K recording.
Same thoughts here. Seems like LG skin is just as heavy as Samsung touchwiz too. With thermal throttling, frames drop may just be a matter of time should the camera buffer get filled up faster than the CPU can process.. Coming from the unfortunate Note 7, I can't help but feels that V20 is no where close to SAMSUNG in both hardware and software department..
I thought the front screen can dbl tap n e phone will unlock or turn on. V10 has that function, V20 not possible doesnt has it right.
That works but then I need to unlock the phone. Two-step process for something that's only one step for phones with front facing fingerprint scanners.I thought the front screen can dbl tap n e phone will unlock or turn on. V10 has that function, V20 not possible doesnt has it right.

just set a Knock Code Unlock. That works but then I need to unlock the phone. Two-step process for something that's only one step for phones with front facing fingerprint scanners.
Again, not a huge deal and not something that's a strike against the V20 since there're other phones with rear scanners as well. Just personal observation
Same same but goni well known to take eons to ship, hope they prove me wrong this time
just set a Knock Code Unlock.
you can wake and unlock straight using this (6 taps on the screen at your selected areas)
