Still waiting for someone to recommend a good 3rd party app for auto mode photo taking on the V20

Not that it matter most to me cos I hardly take photo with my phone camera anyway.

If the stock app already so chui at auto mode, what chance do 3rd party apps have :s13:

Its always assumed that the stock app can do it 'best' and 3rd party apps will either be same quality or inferior because unlike the stock app, the 3rd party apps are generic and wont have any special optimisation. End of the day you cant fight physics of the limitations of the sensor size and built in ISP.

Right now I think if you wanna shoot a 16 megapixel photo at auto mode, a zenfone 3 or xiaomi mi5 does the same job for a cheaper price, I believe they use the same 16MP sensor as the V20 and cost less. V20 may have slightly wider aperture but thats about it.

I am using BT most of the time and it indeed bypass DAC. To mitigate that, I used poweramp instead as the equivalent till there is an apps to enabled the dac even in wireless bah ..

BT bypasses the internal DAC yes

However the V20 is a aptX HD device, which supposedly means higher bitrate BT streaming. I just don't know if both devices need to support the codec for it to work

Will poweramp make any difference to the sound quality ?

Experiences with LG

Just got my V20 last week (first LG phone) and darn..there're already dead pixels or dead 'squares' rather. Damn sianz when LG says their policy is no 1-for-1 exchange because nothing is 'unrepairable'.

Also questioned them why we get a different B&O earphone compared to those in US (who got H6). My earphone box has a 'Cresyn' sticker on it so it should be OEM by them rather than B&O themselves. They didn't bother replying too.

I really feel that our consumer protection laws are really too weak. I suppose in other 'ang mo' countries I might have a better outcome.

4 days ago you posted that you hands on the V20 to test the headphone output, wouldnt you have already felt that it was too big back then? V20 and iPhone SE size difference quite big, the size should have been noticeable long ago.

The V20 is a phablet, for users who cant handle phablet size this device should be an instant no-go. its too bad the smaller size V34 is japan exclusive

Can anyone recommend a compact BT earphone that supports Apt-x?

Currently using LG HBS 910
Awesome BT headphone. Stays in tact even when running on the treadmill

My previous g4 had dead pixels. Lg refused to replace the screen saying need like a certain number of dead pixels or that they must hinder user experience (eg right smack middle of screen) before they agree to change.
