We've already established this before with the V10. The usual Red White, Moby shop, MS, etc. LG Singapore honors the warranty for phones purchased from these stores.

So big electrical shops like Courts, Best Denki, Harvy Norman, Challenger etc not involved ?

You need to check as these large stores don't always take the latest phones if it is not Samsung and Apple.

They are still not carrying HTC 10, Xperia XZ, G5, etc.

you can check who is the authorized retailer on their sg website now if you click on where to buy and share location at their v20 page

The loopboot problem is likely a manufacturing problem. Looks like if v10 inherits it, v20 will have chance. U won't hear about it because only after constant wear and tear then it will show up.
Better avoid buying lg.

I second that, my v10 bootlooped 2 weeks ago and recovered for 3 mins using the hair dryer trick before hanging and never recovering after that. Mine was a black dual Sim Hong Kong set.

Then I found out my buddy's blue Singapore set bootlooped a month ago and never recovered.
Not impressed with LG's Snapdragon 808 mobo design.

I do need a dual sim phone with sdcard support and the IR blaster is always a bonus. Hopefully the v20 will not fail on me. Otherwise the 2 other candidates are the Moto Z Play and the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro(coming same week as the v20 as conveyed to me by a Samsung sales rep I met)

Sounds exactly like my issue. I had to put in the freezer but it never worked for more than 2 minutes. In the end I gave up. I was really keen on the v20 but after my experience and reading thousands of others online I may instead get Pixel Xl and forego second screen. Such a shame LG.

I totally understand where you're coming from. But I've decided to give LG a 2nd chance. If this one bootloops on me again.... Sigh... I'll be very active in these forums and social media slagging off the brand. The v20 is still the smartphone that most resembles the equivalent of an electronic Leatherman tool, so it's right up my alley.

To the other peeps in the forums, apologies for going off track to talk about the bootloop issue, but I want awareness that yes the v10 does bootloop, and it's not an isolated incident.

Cheers

Essentially, if you can't stand your phone dying on you suddenly, stay away from the lg v20.

If you have cash on hand or believe there isn't any other phone worthy of ur pocket. Then get the v20 then sell it once news of bootloop surfaces. Finally, swear of any subsequent lg phones.

Well, sometimes we are so busy that we may not have
done enough to find the answer.

Anyway it is still not too late to learn how to find solutions
to your queries though it seems quite clear almost everyone
can be smarter than the search tokens given in cyberspace.

Believe it or not, you are the judge:

1) http://gadgets.ndtv.com/lg-v20-3765-vs-lg-g5-3308-vs-lg-g4-dual-sim-dual-lte-2651

2) http://gadgets.ndtv.com/lg-g5-3308-vs-lg-g4-dual-sim-dual-lte-2651

CLEAR CUT ANSWER, ha ha, maybe it is not true!! =:p:s8:

LG replied a few times on facebook. u need to scroll down to read.

Best news is this.

NOT hybrid slot.

from FB:
"LG Mobile Singapore · Hi, the LG V20 supports dual sim, MicroSD card is separate slot from dual sim. Second sim card can support 3g. (Can support one sim on 4g, one sim on 3g)"

Looks like leaving the protective plastic film is recommended
