Nothing to do with that la. That is just one of the problems with LCDs. They have a backlight and it is always on as long as the screen is on. It so happens the V20's second screen is always on si there is some backlight bleed. Just how bad only.

All LCDs have backlight bleed. Even the very high end ones. Just that it isnt normally noticeable.

Common with the V10 but I do not have this problem with V20

Any setting to disable the 2nd screen at night? Since sleeping no need for that function, also prevent burn-in problem if leave static for long hours.

When the 2nd display is dim, it doesn't bleed.

When the 2nd display is not dim(took photo immediately after turning off the main display), it bleed. Anyway, it doesn't bother me lar.

Yes. Under setting, display, 2nd display, u can set a time to turn off your 2nd display.

Just flip your phone over with the screen facing down. In case you didn't notice, the phone will use the proximity sensor to turn off the 2nd screen when it's in your pocket and things like that.

Use magisk. On my note 4, I rooted but used magisk and android pay still works. Any app that uses Google's method of detecting root will still work if you use magisk.
