Anyone find the v20 auto brightness is too bright?
It doesn't seem to learn what the user prefer under certain lighting condition.
I slide it down, it will auto slide it up.
Driving me crazy haha

I like how the brightness slider increases / decreases slowly with the auto checked. :s13::s22:

Give it a little time. My v20 is learning my brightness preference and is getting better (or I am sub consciously adopting to it's brightness, lol)

More like lg sg got skeptic and brought in minimal or lesser sets after the nightmarish g5 sales.
Hopefully no more bootloop so that they can redeem themselves. V20 is awesome so far

And also thanks to bomb 7... Sheesh...

Yea agree with vulpix and kopi22. The stock cam app should be working better, else fine tune it. Honestly, I'm quite disappointed with the cameras..

Thanks for the input all. I see where you're coming from. For me personally, I don't typically make use of the stock camera apps from manufacturer (even on my IP6+), 'cos I always assume it's crap anyways :D

More often than not, I use manual mode in 3rd party apps, even if it's only to set focus point and/or exposure (tap in scene to specify point of reference).

My deliberation is between the V20 and Pixel XL. My biggest deciding factor is the effectiveness of the camera feature of the phone. One has potential #shattergate issue and complaints that 'auto-mode doesn't work well'. The other has #flaregate and costs nearly double (in current flipper market). The first has local warranty and wider angle lens on the cameras, the second has 'clean' Android build and arguably more easily avail accessories (case/screen protector etc.)

Argh decisions..

Ya I was gonna get note7 to replace my note 5 when I recontract de, but well, since it has been recalled, V20 became a clear decision for me. Was already keen in V10 when I was using note 5. Now finally have e chance to try V series. So far so good other than e disappointing camera (but I love the wide angle), e user experience has been pleasant, especially that 2nd screen. Haha.

I dont understand why everyone condem the camera so much and even compare with pixel model. To me is really just point and shot. I consider the user experience and overall function that you get in this phone. End of the day happy use. Not happy sell lo ! Is the only current phone in market which have all in one package
4g+3g
Memory card slot
Battery replacement
Dial screen front

So hard to decide ? Hehe

The LG stock camera app is actually pretty good. Even though I too rely on 3rd party apps, I like using the stock camera app for panoramas and HDR.

I think the LG is a safer bet

Pixel's "flare" has been acknowledged by google yet they say they not gonna fix the lens. That means even in the impossible scenario that singapore offers warranty servicing, they wont fix it for you (or they cant). LG shatter lens at least can still be fixed at service centre here.

If you hit the focus white square indicator and wait until it turns green then shoot the pictures are pretty good.

Just a quick contribution , i am a Note7 user going to V20.

So what is the different in experience?

- V20 is slightly larger but while holding it , it feels much larger due to the non curve
- Without curve edge, the usable area of the screen is slightly larger but in real, its feels quite a lot larger
- The 2nd screen does gives u a sense of excitement, something to compensate u for not hving Note series's pen
- The wide angle camera is also fun to hv, good compensation for getting a lesser capable camera vs the Note7/S7
- Rear on/off + fingerprint need time to get used to, and on screen buttons also need some getting used to.

I still miss the Note7 ... but this is the 2nd closest u can get now to a Note7 after S7Edge

They do have a big bill board ad at Victoria junction k :s13:

ya that big bugis village billboard, LG is practically an anchor tenant on that space, even if you street view it right now on google maps, you see the Lg G3 ad there.

But it cant match apple and samsung who have all the prime spots like MRT station billboards, all the places that have the most human traffic. When new iphone comes out, everybody know. When new LG comes out, only LG fans know

Which 3rd party app u all using?

OpenCamera -http://opencamera.sourceforge.net/
Decent all rounder, but manual mode UI horrible cos the manual sliders is so tiny that if youre using a phone like LG who has a wide range of shutter speed, its very hard to get the exact ISO/shutter. Also it only does spot metering which, combined with LG tendency to overexpose makes it very hard to shoot auto in high contrast scenes.

Snap Camera - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055140
if you enable Camera2 API on this, the low light mode is available which IMO is actually pretty good for shooting night if you have no tripod (example handhelfd lowlight Link)

It has the same manual mode slider problem as Open Camera but the sliders are a bit bigger in size so less painful but you dont get labels on the sliders still, so hard to slide precisely.

This app also has a lot of customisability so its quite versatile.

Camera FV5 - http://www.camerafv5.com/
I use this for manual mode 99% of the time. Have a little pet peeve where if the ISO is too low, the app doesnt want to do auto white balance adjustments till you crank ISO up to let it have a bright enough scene to let AWB kick in, (then crank it down again to your desired level), other than that its good
