Disable Facebook app and using swipe now. Drain stopped. Still having messenger though. Seems like Facebook app is the bloody culprit.

Apart from swipe, there's another app called Facebook Lite from Facebook themselves. But it's not available in our sg play store. I got it from the link below.
Latest version

I have been using for awhile and never had any battery drain. For messenger, I'm using not using that but the lite version can reply to messages in it.Thanks for the tip.
Does the lite version solve the battery drain?
But then again, if you will be using fb messenger it will still cause battery drain. You might need to find another alternative app for that.
After uninstalling and installing Facebook app a few times, I found out that everytime Facebook is there, my charging will not go over 20% per hour (I measured with Accubattery).
Without FB, I was able to charge 60% per hour which is normal.
So it's probably FB. Plus it uses so much processor power that it makes the phone hot. Unfortunately, it seems Android Nougat doesn't allow apps to track individual CPU usage so I can't really confirm it's FB causing the problem.
But now without FB, battery life is excellent.
Think I'll just use FB from Chrome.

May I know which is more effective. Uninstall FB or disable it?After uninstalling and installing Facebook app a few times, I found out that everytime Facebook is there, my charging will not go over 20% per hour (I measured with Accubattery).

For V20, Facebook app is a system app, hence unable to uninstall. Only can disable it. If I had the option to uninstall it, definitely I'll uninstall it.May I know which is more effective. Uninstall FB or disable it?

I think u only had the option to uninstall latest updates and not the entire app. Yup, disable is the only option.Noted with thks. I uninstalled but the app is still there. I better disable it then.
