the ARC will not work on your Pioneer, I owned a Pioneer reciever as well. Technicians from Pioneer and LG came to my place before when these TVs are still new products at that time, as I'm facing the same problem as you. After doing all sorts of testing/troubleshootings, both parties confirmed that they do not recognise each other (handshake).

ARC is only good for thier own brand equipments. Even for some other brands like Samsung or Sony as well. Some time you may get lucky if it recognise your other brand equipments.

you mean ARC is specially for LG only?

i do not have this problem with my existing Philips HTS and Samsung TV last time.

New Magic Remote

LG redesigns the Magic Remote - TVs

lg-magic-remote_1.jpg

LG's Magic Remote has always been a bit of an eye catcher, and the newest iteration keeps the unusual form factor.

But LG has added a few extras, and the remote now supports four different methods of control: straight points, gestures, wheel and now "natural speech" voice commands.

According to LG, users can now turn on an LG set with "Hi, TV". The other example given by the release was "Show me Gangnam Style video", which we kind of thought people might be slowly getting over, but there you go.

There'll be two versions of the Magic Remote: a premium that will ship with premium TVs, and a standard for all other panels. The premium will have a slightly slimmer form factor and backlit buttons.

Hmm... Confirmed LG TV can use ARC with Onkyo receiver... :p

Yes... Onkyo works on my friend's LW5700 as well.

No, what i meant was ARC will work best on same brand equipments, if you mix them, some may not work.

I live with it of cos... change receiver for ARC is not a wise option.

Help ... Using a 55' LM6700. Updated to latest firmware few weeks back, suddenlyrealize my built-in YouTube app is always hanging. I even have to restart the telly when it happens. Not sure why, but the YouTube just freezes.

Using wired connection. The problem is definitely not frm the Internet connection.

Do you know which version of firmware level? Is best to indicate here so other can benifit from it.
I believe is a firmware bug. However, it will need LG technician help to "downgrade" the firmware level is there is no newer version to fix this bug.
