ASA is having travel to ** for 6D5N on 9 May.

This is what I was told:

Depart 1.30pm - Arrived 5.30pm (9 May)
Return 8.30am - Arrived 12.30pm (14 May)

Airline: Lucky Airline (think it's a China airline)

3 Night in ** / 1 Night in Shang / 1 Night in Dali

Not bad for a short break for me.....

Yep, we got the info on Lucky Air flying direct too.

Does anyone know how to book the flights for Lucky Air though? I tried going to their website and even though I can key in SIN - LJG, they don't show any schedules. I called Changi Airport and they confirmed that Lucky Air will fly between the 2 destinations and they could tell me when there's a flight but the operator could only tell me to book through Lucky Air. The phone number on Lucky Air's website, no one answers either.

Changi Airport also says that Lucky Air will NOT have a sales counter in Changi Airport. Liddat how to book?!

great thanks! i called ASA just now after reading your post. they put me through to their airline booking side and they're checking up a few dates for me. crossing fingers! if they can get the tickets from Lucky, it'll be awesome!

Lucky Air flies only 2 routes. Kunming and Dali, and Kunming and Xishuangbanna.

For Kunming and Dali, taking the overnight train is so much more convenient. It's lower risk than taking Lucky Air. Anyway, the flights delay in Dali and Lijiang, are of an astonishing rate. The locals would rather take the bus or train than to be stuck at the airport.

Lijiang is a very beautiful tourist destination. Basically cobble stoned streets with antiquated pavilions and shops. Its all mostly made up to give an old town feel though. Very much like stepping back in time.

Nonetheless, it is ideal for getaways. Sample the local foods, buy some local touristy stuffs and what not. Sightseeing and horse riding. If you are sick of the old town, the city centre is just walking distance away. More modern shopping options.

Are you referring to Banyan Tree Lijiang? If so, yes my villa had a heated pool.
