For gpu, i believe flow direction works both ways. For cpu, most brands have direction indicated for inlet and outlet. Best is to follow as their design might be specific in this direction.

Arrow pointing towards hole is inlet and arrow pointing away from hole is outlet.

For tubing, i would recommend to go for 3/8, 5/8. Reason is that it is more flexible than other dimensions. And DO NOT do a direct conversion from inches to mm (3/8' to 9.5mm) You will get leakages. If your tubing is 3/8 5/8, find a fitting for 3/8 5/8 instead of 9.5mm.

You are inviting algae growth very soon.

Drain out everything. Then make sure you get all the tap water out.

Go get yourself distilled water, silver coil or biocide. Then put it in.

Another way is to use proper coolant such as Mayhems Pastel coolant. Can be premixed or concentrate. Only use distilled water for concentrate. 250ml concentrate with 750ml distilled water.

If possible remove some of the flow indicator. Its too much. 1 will do. It will look a lot more cleaner than adding too much of it.

Most importantly get rid of the tap water asap before its too late.

Aw.. I thought SG Water was good enough. Any idea where could I get the silver coil/biocide? I tried Lazada but i doubt the search was right

There are minerals and additives in tap water.
Anyway the biocides are necessary to prevent growth in your loop.

To make it simple, take 3/8, 5/8 as example for soft tubing. The smaller number is inner diameter (ID) of tube whereas the bigger number is outer diameter (OD). This means the thickness is 1/8 which is flexible. There are other ranges as well. Note that the thicker it is, the hard to curve it. Most popular would be 3/8, 5/8. Note that the units used are in inches or ".

For hard tube, they usually use mm as a norm, like 10/12, etc.

When getting firings, make sure the numbering on the fitting matches your tubing and vice versa. While 3/8" converted to mm would be 9.4xxmm which is close to 10mm, it will not fit nicely with 10/12mm and you will expect leaks.

Your best way is to find Mayhems coolant via them if possible.

Remove all tap water asap. As they do have minerals inside it which can cause bacteria and algae growth soon. Once there is growth you will have to remove everything and slowly brush everything out.

Coolant such as Mayhems have all the necessary added biocides in it. So you do not have to add anything other than distilled water and the concentrates.

So get going.

Same, must make sure the water contents table shows 0 for all minerals. And you will need to put a silver coil if using distilled water only. If adding some coolant colouring then dun need silver coil.

No. Both GPU (especially full cover)and CPU blocks can have specific inlet and outlet ports.

It's actually very common for GPU blocks as the flow tends to hit the GPU itself before the VRMs. And there's usually a jet plate on the GPU area.

Drinking water is never distilled. That is mineral water. Please do not drink distilled water. It will leach ions from your oesophagus like how it will do to your loop.

I always use Dasani drinking water + mayhems biocide extreme with my liquid builds that use clear coolant. But for my own personal builds, I always use EK Cryofuel Solid or Mayhem Pastel.

that is allegedly distilled water though I don't think they would sell it for drinking without adding additives to raise the ions in the water.

Also, the process they describe is not distillation at all! Distillation involves the condensation of vapours to separate the water/liquid fraction from the bulk. If they have multiple layers, it's likely to be multibed filtration, maybe finished off with a UF membrane.

If you take a look a the test report, there's fluoride and chloride. Seems like it originated from tap water.

But seems that it doesn't have much with trace metals so it should be fine. Nitrates can lead to algae growth though but that level is probably too low.

No I don’t. For cryofuel or pastel coolants, I always use premix.

Dasani is if the build I am going for clear coolant (dyed clear coolants counts as well) or if I am just leak testing.

Dasini water is filtered and then they add sodium. Not considered to be DI water after that.
