Raeesah Khan issue a ‘hiccup’ for Pritam Singh: Low Thia Khiang

Speaking to the media outside the court, former Workers’ Party chief Low Thia Khiang gives Pritam Singh a vote of confidence.

He says: “I think this is a hiccup, it’s a process whether you are a new leader or an organisation, in the process of development there’s always hiccups here and there, we must not forget the whole general direction making progress in Singapore.”

Speaking in English and Mandarin, he adds that it has not been long since Singh took over from him as secretary-general of the Workers’ Party (WP). Singh was elected secretary-general in 2018.

When asked if Singh could have handled the matter better, Mr Low says in Mandarin that he thinks Singh has already tried his best.

He adds that in the course of any political party’s or leader’s development, challenging situations will surely occur, and that it was part of the learning process.

“The most important thing is to know how to unite the party.”

Mr Low added that he thinks Singapore is now a mature democracy and voters are mature.

He said: “Voters can make distinction between who is a good politician and who is not a good politician.

“And I believe Pritam is a good politician, he's a capable competent leader with a heart for Singapore and Singaporeans.”

When asked if the issue will hinder his work with the WP Central Executive Committee, which Mr Low remains a member of after having stepped down as secretary-general in 2018, he said: “No it should not, it will not.”

Singh and Mr Low also shared a brief exchange in the court lobby before Mr Low stepped out.

There, Singh apologised to Mr Low Thia Khiang, saying: “Sorry I didn't have many questions for you.

In response, Mr Low wished him good luck.

LTK cunning fox sia, say this and wanbao print big big, will sway sentiments back to prata again.

Good that LTK stood together with Pritam. PAP didn't succeed in driving a wedge between them on this saga and the two also know that more importantly they have to stand together no matter what cos PAP have superior numbers and state organs to fix them.
so prosecution summon LTK as witness LTK cannot leeject one ah

:s13: No leh .. doesn't apply to WP back in October 2019, .. and the presiding judge passed such comments: -

AHTC case: WP MPs ‘had not acted honestly’ and tried to mislead, says judge

https://www.todayonline.com/singapo...t-acted-honestly-and-tried-mislead-says-judge
I wouldn't put too much credibility in that judge comments.

Rational people know very well that the AHTC saga happened because of PAP scorched earth tactics employed when they handed over Aljunied GRC and pap aim company withdraw the tc management software so that the WP tc couldn't use it.

Defence denied access to unredacted messages in Pritam Singh’s trial

On 23 October 2024, the defence in Pritam Singh's trial was denied access to unredacted messages from Yudhishthra Nathan. Defence argued these messages could assess witness credibility, but the judge ruled they did not meet the legal threshold for disclosure.

DAG Ang had wanted to retrieve the two sets of documents (redacted and non-redacted messages) but Judge Tan said he would keep the documents with the court as another court might be looking at them.

:s14:
does it mean another court may look into RK, pei ying and nathan testimonies?
or examine more closely the processes of the COP?
