gundogan on difference between pep guardiola and jurgen klopp

lkay Gundogan hailed Pep Guardiola as the best tactician he’s ever played for but revealed he would ‘die’ for Jurgen Klopp on the pitch.

‘It’s probably a bit easier for me to name a difference [between Guardiola and Klopp] because I feel like tactically Pep is the best I’ve ever seen to be honest and I’ve also heard that a lot of times from other players who have played under him.

The way he looks at all the details of the game is just incredible and he tries to transmit that on the pitch. ‘But then Klopp, Jurgen as a character is someone when you go on the pitch you are able to sacrifice everything for him, to give your all. ‘He has that power the way he talks to you, the way he speaks to you, to give you the right words going into a game.

So you just go onto the pitch and you’d die for him.’ He added: ‘It’s difficult to say who is better. Me personally, I just feel privileged to have worked with both. ‘That’s what I’m very grateful for.’

Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool don’t need rebuild but top four a big ask

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp denies it is time for a rebuild of his squad but admits a top-four finish this season will be a big achievement.

Twelve of his current squad are 28 or over with nine considered core players, with Fabinho, Andy Robertson, Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones currently the only players who have played a major part under that age.

Only two – Thiago Alcantara and Jota – of Liverpool’s last six major transfers could be classed in the category of strengthening Klopp’s first-choice XI and both have missed large parts of this season through injury.

--------------------------
so many players already reaching or reached 30, yet not time for rebuild.....

Klopp is not known to be open-minded about being told what to do.
We already have past experiences with Karius, Lovren and Moreno.
He have to see the effect first before he take any action.
He should also know how willing Henry is going to open his cheque book at the end of the season.

I am not excited about the recent RedBird deal since it does not mean that Henry will be using the money to buy better players.
High chance he will use the money for building the extension if it is still needed ? and to cover any financial gap for this season.

Breaking:

RedBird Capital will acquire a 10% stake in FSG for $750M.

RedBird are majority owners in Toulouse FC & American Football League XFL. They’ve put lots of money into both projects. (@Sportico)

This could hopefully be the start of a big summer ahead.

Need fsg to also put in $$$. They're still the majority owners.

CL win is enough.
Most importantly our players all can stay fit and healthy from now on

Sheffield United also has a long list of injuries at the back. If really can’t win, then it’s really a problem that’s deeper than our injuries

I know the whole Firmino link up play make things tick up front theory. But I think it’s about time we invest in a striker that can put all those chances away. It’s a game of fine margins but if u can’t finish off those chances then those chances are only wasted effort and these chances don’t give u points or win games unless u convert them. For all our struggles with injuries and defence, the glaring difference between this season and last season was the lack of quality in finishing.
