we won but villa is a more technical team. This season, Liverpool have problems with teams who are direct with long balls. And who are physical. And good in set pieces.

Villa tried to play out from the back. So much that our first goal came from them overplaying. And wasn't too physical.Neither were they a threat from set pieces.

Will reserve my judgment of Liverpool's recovery until we meet those physical, direct, set piece oriented teams again.

This. Someone who actually observed the game. The stats showed that Slot for this game went back to pressing and wasn't as afraid to lose possession, hence the possession stats were lower than the games we lost. I feel Wirtz can play as left winger because Gakpo only play one dimension move ball to right foot and try to to curl it into the goal.

If kerkez allowed to bomb down the flank like he did at bournemouth, then wirtz can tuck in as inside forward/false 9 like how mane played. Slot prefers fullbacks to wingbacks.
