Sold off n buy the wrong players all at the same transfer window. This kind of thing never happens during kloop time. We used to complain why only 1-2 new players coming in.
Last time Klopp has the final say on the players to sign

The new setup under Edwards is the scouting team and hughes will identify the players we need and he will go close the deal. I doubt slot has any final say on this. That’s why his role is head coach.

of coz the poor results majority of the fault still lies with Slot and his coaching team and quite clear the dressing room is gone.

we need a big character manager that not just can handle the players big time but also play exciting football. Not sure such a candidate is available at the moment.

Klopp of coz is the best choice but the video if u watch he did says he did not rule out a return to Liverpool but also highlights he doesn’t miss anything about managing a club at the moment.

I neh celebrated any of this season's purchase. I felt we paid too much and these players din impress me b4 coming. Isak i do rate him but he is the total opposite of his expectations now.

So now this team has change. Capt obvious. The use of fb is horrible as much as the quality they have.
Stamina is poorer than b4 and is affecting concentration on game.
Passing and moving off the ball is shorter. Strike rate is poor. We are afraid to take chances. We are only attempting to MAKE A 100% CHANCE ON GOAL situation, if not we try again. Ridiculously predictable.

I still give my support to slot this season. No top4, he is out.

As I said earlier, Slot and Richard Hughes gonna go.
Slot - true, he deserves more time since he won the Premier League last season. But it is obvious that the team performance drop off at the second half of last season. We were lucky that no team caught up.
Richard Hughes - he came in last season and got us Chiesa, which I feel Slot don’t rate at all and Mamardashvili, which I don’t understand why we buy when we have Kelleher. Yes Kelleher wants first team football, but looking at Allison injury record, what could be stopping Kelleher from having first team games this season? And for what it’s worth, I don’t see anything that makes me feel Mamardashvili is the future No. 1 for Liverpool.
And this season the shopping spree, yes we need new blood for LB and RB, so I put the blame on luck and Slot for the injuries and not able to drawn the full potential of the new players. Wirtz, I still believe he can come good, but in order for that to happen, Slot must figure out how to best play the team and the record figure we paid for Wirtz makes him an easy target to get blame. Ekitike is so far playing fine. Last but not least, Isak, I still can’t understand why the obsession with getting him on board when Newcastle is not willing to sell him. Create the hoohas and paying a club record fee for him and Isak is looking like a clown as Liverpool continues to not able to function properly.
Why we didn’t focus on Guehi when our centre backs are crying out for reinforcements is out of my understanding. And make it worse, we sold Quansah and now it is rumoured we are interested to get him back at double the price we sold him for…like is that how you run a football club?
Sorry for my wall of text but there are just so much more I wanna talk about and it is disappointing to see Liverpool looking like a joke of a club right now :(

Can see that most of the players already lost the fire and fight in them already

Not sure what happen internally but I hope we don’t become like man utd where players decide to play poorly so that they can oust the manager / head coach. This is not and should not be the way Liverpool become.

In a good way, I am happy that we lost.. a few more losses and we can see someone sacked. I'm immune already.

On the topic players play poorly so that can oust the manager/head coach, I think got gossip that last time Gerrard purposely miss the penalty so that Hodgson get sacked, so can’t say Liverpool never do that.
On the team situation, I have a simple theory but likely will get debunked and flip table response: Salah
No doubt Salah played his skin off last season, but I don’t think no one didn’t see that his performance had dropped off once he secured his big payday. The supporting casts gets disguntled and hence looking for way out (Diaz and Nunez to an extend) The new players come in under the promise that Liverpool is ushering a new era with them as the lead, but somehow, they still have to accommodate Salah. And like what Carragher had said recently, Salah as one of the leaders in the locker room, we didn’t see him come out to talk about rallying the team, whereas last year he come out multiple times “hinting” on his contract situation. I may be wrong in my assessment but if Saudi comes in with a decent offer, just let Salah go. We might suffer in the short run as we adjust our attacks but I believe it will be good for Liverpool as we move forward

Never watch the match and WTF keep playing Konate when Gomez is available. Take him out only when chasing the game and Endo not given any game time in the past few matches.

I wonder if klopp and fsg got any bad blood. Or even Edwards..
Does klopp have a redemption arc here? He has not been allowed a fair crack at the title previously with city cheating and no funds. Id like to see him get proper backing and go after pep.

Hughes probably acting on orders from Edwards. Edwards is still the boss and needs to approve all the signings.

Agree, but shouldn’t Slot’s opinion be important also on the new signings? Whether they can fit the team or are they what the team need?
Either way, it shows there is a fundamental breakdown in Liverpool transfer system, at least for this season.
I have to admit, I was over the moon when I heard Guehi signed at the end of the transfer window, so much more than when Isak signed.
So it was quite crushing when I heard Guehi Guehi deal off later

Don’t think I ever see a slump like this in Liverpool Any team in Div 1 and 2 can just go Anfield and whack 3-4 goals pass them.
Something drastic has to change. Slot have to go!

It was mentioned before by one Liverpool journalist that Slot assesses the squad and tells Hughes what kind of players the team needed. Then based on stats, Hughes will go out and buy the players. Slot said the same thing in his first season, he said they won't buy until he assessed the squad. So yes, he does have some input only not who to buy. Klopp had the same system but he did suggest some players, like Endo and Nunez etc based on his observations playing against them.

Regardless of who decide who to buy, we cannot deny that the current squad of players are good. We can argue that they may need some time to gel and hence are not ready to defend the title or advance far in UCL. But to get battered by Forest and PSV at Anfield is beyond acceptable. Any decent manager would be able to form a team from the current crop of players and give them a good game. Unless you are telling me that given this squad, there is no manager in this world that can get them to play well enough to even beat Forest or PSV. I bet Klopp or Pep would at the very very very least be able get a draw out of these two games.

🚨 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Real Madrid inform
Liverpool that they will 𝐍𝐎𝐓 proceed for Konaté deal. 🚫

The Spanish club considered Ibrahima Konaté on free transfer for 2026 but their decision is not to advance.

Konaté, still discussing 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥... proposal on the table but final decision not made yet.

Die Liao. Gonna stick to him

Let him move to other club when end of this season. He was only good in one match ie against Arsenal. The rest of his games were sh!t and I don't understand why Slot keep starting him.

Thank you greatly for their services - but, goodbye sell-off to VVD, Mo, Konate at end season.

Slot-Hughes can share this blame- NOT PRIORITY BUYING VVD REPLACEMENT .
