He sounds fierce becoz he has been practising saying it to too many victims that it sounds convincing. He have becomes so good at it that you feel it's for real. We may never know if after the threat, he laugh at you for being scared. Pls remember this is his specialized skillset. Nothing beyond that.

But don't worry, verbal threats only harm your feelings.

Invert those fears to anger and you will pull through the mental torment.

I'm convince u and family will be safe as this is Singapore, land of many SPF CCTV.

Honestly after changing number, i had some peace & felt calm. I just focused on my daily routine with my kids & family. Just vigilant on our surrounding & my house window views.

Unlike before changing number, my heart always race waiting for his text. Especially the 1st day i started to ghost him!

So far no calls to my office today from him or any LS related looking for me.

These Days shall pass & i will try to pull through.. I told myself i need to change, no more of this nonsense.

Go learn some baking skills, sell some cakes for additional incomes

For me, I provide some tutoring on and off as a side hustle to earn abit of incomes.
Then, pack my own lunch to work to reduce my food expenses from outside.

If you do that for 2-3 months, you can actually saved up alot by now.

He sounded so fierce on his last WA text to me after he knew that i blocked his main number.
"i confirm do until u come back find me one leh" Still ringing in my head . . .

And he ever showed me a "painted door" which he got his runner to do to 1 of his victim for no payment. That was when 1 of his number was blocked by WA. So he so-called "explained" to me.

Haizz..."wonder weeks" coming ahead of me now.....

Remember, its only words. Don't ever bother to even "read" their messages. Its only threats. Just don't hiu them. You'll be ok.

Also all those video of painting and fire are all recycled videos.

Just sharing some news from yesterday: LS runners have now resorted to throwing eggs at victim units. It’s still not as bad as red paint, but it's something to be aware of.

I just want to remind everyone that LS runners are also victims of loan shark scams, just like us. So, if they’re throwing eggs, it shows they have a conscience. They likely don’t want to use red paint because they understand how difficult it is to clean off and how embarrassing it can be for us. Let me explain why I say this:

Many years ago, there was a story about a LS runner who fell victim to loan sharks and was forced into this role to clear his own debt. He was a runner, but he had a heart.

Options running out, he started working for the loan sharks in May 2011. The victim had now turned terror. But according to him he was a harasser with a heart, acting with reluctance and regret. He never harassed a house if he saw a sign stating that the debtors had already moved out. He diluted the paint with turpentine in the ratio of 1:1 so it could be easily wiped away. He splattered only half a plastic cup’s worth of paint to minimise the occupants’ trouble of cleaning up. He wrote on the walls with a non-permanent white board marker so the intimidating scrawls could be removed with a wet cloth. As for the fires he started, he refrained from using highly flammable fuel like kerosene. Instead, he used Zippo lighter fluid that burned out quickly. He would splash a small amount of lighter fluid and ignite it with lighted tissue paper. The fire would die out in about five seconds, and he always stayed behind to ensure that it did not burn for long. It was true that three of the five fire incidents were done in the dead of night, but the appellant said that he was there to ensure that the fire would not get out of hand. Once, he had even moved a shoe rack for fear that he might accidentally set it alight. The Prosecution did not say that the damage caused by the fires lit by the appellant had resulted in anything more serious than minor burn marks on the door. None of the five police reports made by the victims of his harassments by fire mentioned major damage caused by the fires. One occupant did not even say that a fire had been lit. Another mistook the ashes from the fire as the result of someone burning incense paper outside his home. The money was good – about $70 for a paint job, and $300 for a fire job. With more than 70 instances in slightly over a month, he seemed to be in a hurry. His target premises ranged from Pasir Ris to Jurong West. No job seemed too far for him.

All I want to say is, why are you still afraid of loan sharks nowadays? In Singapore, you're actually very safe. What can they really do to you? Most of them are based overseas and don’t have the courage to come to your unit. Usually, they will just recruit a runner to do the job for them. But even finding a runner to harass a debtor is not easy for them. It takes time and effort to convince someone to take on the job for quick cash.

So, to everyone reading this—whether you're Malay, Chinese, Indian, Bangladeshi, or from any background—please stop engaging with the loan sharks and stop sending them money. Start ignoring them and ghosting them the moment you see their messages. THEY WILL NEVER HARM YOU, AND THERE WON’T BE ANY PROBLEM IF YOU IGNORE THEM. THEY CAN’T DO ANYTHING TO YOU!

For me now - After last weekend issue, nothing arise. Neither my office phone nor NOK/family members were contacted. House CCTV also clear, no 'visitor'..yet again??

My summarize (If anyone ever faced the same as me, can share with me what happens next??)
-- My defer to him is 3 loans/week as i took small² amount from him,
-- My last defer payment made to him is already over a month as at today,
-- So as at today, i already have a few deferments due to him,
-- My last text to him was 3 weeks ago as at today from my old number,
-- Changed to new number, going into 3 weeks this weekend,
-- He realized that i have start to block his numbers 3 weeks ago but he sent someone up only 2 weeks later.

Now i have to be extra vigilant on my surrounding & see what's next he have instore for me. Sigh~

Considered yourself lucky! Can you imagine, if they start calling your NOK (especially your parents), you do know the feeling can be overwhelming to you and very depressing. Thankfully, you don't have to go through this.

And we are all children of our parents, of course, our priority is not to worry them too. So all of us do not want LS to start harassing them.

Hi everyone! I'm facing the same situation. I have a few UML transferring me money when I say I don't want to take up the loan anymore. Now they are harassing me asking me to pay them back by today and if I don't pay them back they will come up my house and harassed all my NOK. Luckily the nos. i gave them was bogus except for my dad's no. He doesn't know it yet. I'm quite scared of this. I've already made the police report and bank has already freeze my account. Any advise? He was very adamant coz i blocked his no. and he texted me using a different no. Is there any support channel like ws group or tele that I can join?

I’ve always believed that no matter the situation, a father will always forgive his children. But, of course, it depends on the circumstances. Most of the time, a father's instinct is to protect their children, so they’ll stand by you and support you in every way they can.

Take another deep breath, gather your courage, and make the call. You could start by saying, “I have something to share, and I hope you’ll hear me out first.”

From there, take it step by step. You’ve got this, and I believe in you. Trust yourself.

Once you do this, everything will be so much easier.

My HR is also aware of my situation. I do have mental diagnosis, when I found this forum it did help quite a bit, although my IO sounds like the guy, i did my verification with the division itself.

If you want to verify if your IO is legit, just ask them for the case report number!

That is the only way to verify they are legit and thereafter let them further assist you on this.

Your persistence of ghosting them is the only way for them to give up. It will be weeks to months but it will stop.
We are hoping this ends for you at the shortest of period. Until then, remain strong. Don't let anyone affect you.

Anyway, anyone they send are usually ppl who took loan from them, asked to do threats so as to defer loans. These runners are just victims like you and usually are caught within days once they harass other victims. These runners won't dare harm ppl even if forced, let alone ppl kids. I can assure u these runners are very scared too if they ever harass you.

They have not change tactic for the past many years and they dunno how to get money from u beyond what have been discussed here.

Their harassments methods are harmless.
