Actually, isn't it better to just return that $50 so they have nothing to do with him? Better than living in fear that they 'might' do something.

The account they used to transfer the $ over may have been used for illegal transactions/activities. If he transfers money to that account and the account comes under police investigation, he may be unintentionally implicated too. Not wise. Better to stop all association.

Hi. I recently also have some trouble with loan scam/shark. Basically I report to police their bank account number. The bank account is frozen I think. But they track down is me report police. Now he say things like. The 2 persons will take revenge to me for reporting to police. Have my home address and workplace number. Notify my family members and my manager about this. Report police again. Can I know is there any advise? Thanks.

This one is see luck one, whether they will send people or not, or maybe they just keep calling you. First step is to close your bank account and make a new one. You wont believe how easy it is now to make a bank account if u have ibanking. Change phone numbers if possible.

Prevent cashflow from going past your account, what they are doing by "transferring" or "loaning" money to you is basically just using your account as a money mule. This WILL get you into trouble if you pay them back into their other money mule account.

So from what I know, some loansharks/scammers persuade a victim (example person A) into taking a loan. They then get a victim who "owes" them money (person B,C and even D) to transfer money into person A's account depending on the amount.

Then they will get person A to return the money by transferring to new victims (person E, F and maybe even G)

And it goes on and on and on.
TL;DR - close account, open new one, you are being used. Change phone number also if u can.

At most they call and harass nia, they wont send people to your workplace and risk getting their runners caught, at most to your home nia. If no money was given i doubt they'd bother to do anything other than spam call u.
Your police report might not even have been the one that got their accounts frozen in the first place.
Dont let those ** scare u

Thx man i am not scared of them tho
Whenever they msg me i just flame them

Best to still close off your account and reopen a new one. Less than 10 minutes can settle liao, if unsure how, go to your bank and ask and remember DONT SHARE BANK DETAILS ANYWHERE except your HR to do payroll lol

Money going into your account from the victims MIGHT get you implicated for no reason. The loan scammers might get victims to transfer money to your account and if that person reports your account then hoseh liao. Reopening one saves you A LOT of future problems, remember to update ur HR after u change bank acc too.

No because you are dealing with scammers who use fear and threats to scare you into paying. After you pay they will come after you for more and more.

Hope so. He keep threatening my NOK that the two debtors that bank account reported will cut off my hands and legs. Then say if got money he will just let me go. Call IO update about this they say just ignore. So now only worries about the runner.

For dbs just login ibanking (DO NOT GIVE DETAILS TO ANYONE). Press "more" , under "apply" click deposit account. And viola u have a new bank account. I think u can close online also, if unsure how, google is always your best friend.

Call your bank to move your funds over and close off your old account, update ur hr so dont get delayed for your payday and remember. DONT SHARE YOUR BANK DETAILS WITH ANYONE, BE IT ONLINE OR OFFLINE.

Same old stupid threats. Cut off all contact. Ignore and block all calls. Every threat, fill a police report, you can do it online. Most importantly, do not fear, get on with your life and DO NOT PAY!

This is usually what people who never experience such harassment will logically think under stress and pressure.

What guarantee can you give that it will end? The loanshark don't want it to end as paying back only means the victim is cooperating with the loanshark. They only see it as another business opportunity to try to harass for more money after that.

So the situation will not change and in fact will get worse. I can confirm and guarantee of that.

So stop paying or returning is the best move, even if it sounds illogical and suicidal at first. Harassment still going to happen if continue to payback or return. So, why return?

Bro i started ghosting them redy
What will they do next
Good you have done so. Stop wondering their next move. No one can predict.

Instead, focus on emergency contingencies if they harass you at your place. Get the whole household to respond to call 999 if you are threatened by them in any means.

Good that we are safe in Singapore from any physical harm by this idiots.

Their threats are verbal bluffs and send runners to i.e splash paint to pretend to proof to you that they can physically harm you.

That is the only thing they can do. FYI, those runners are not their "people". They are mostly victims like you. So they do they job in a skittish manner because they are scared of getting caught by SPF.

So, after planning your contingencies, try to get back your life by doing the normal stuffs before the harassment happened to you.

Don't dwell on what is going to happen, reassure yourself and your family that SPF is minutes away to protect you.

Like I said before to many other victims is you need to get angry with the loanshark, not fear them. Only then things will slowly normalize.

Hi. So can I ask that the worst thing they can do is just to send other debtors to splash paint around neighbourhood?

Based on your case is a loan scam, most likely you are dealing with keyboard warriors. Dont think about what their next move is, you are giving yourself unnecessary stress
