Even after the best discount, cnergy at least 30-40 cents per litre cheaper than mainstream brands

Electricity should go up even more... Let me explain why.

Crude oil in raw form very dirty and hard to use. So need to fraction and refine into various products (two of which) are diesel and petrol. Hence there is added cost to them (refined products). Electricity, however, comes from the other refined products of crude oil, so in a way, electricity is "refined" from refined products of crude oil. Another layer of costs on top.

Now, let me make a guess why electricity for EV wont go up so much... my wild guess is electricity is made available every households. So by spreading out the cost to households, the increase is better subsidised for EVs. So lets us help the EV owners tank the costs during this period.

Strange though... although many have made the change to EVs, meaning less ICE cars on the roads, meaning less demand for petrol/diesel, why petrol and diesel prices are still high? or maybe it is just my demand and supply concept failed...

You mean to tell me petrol companies here operate on a 0 stockpile basis one ah

They increased the price because they wanna make more money la! The oil they give u they probably already paid for at low price months ago

Why electricity bill not so fast change? Because it is regulated by government and changes need to be approved

Eh... 95% of Singapore electricity comes from gas...
Electricity prices are regulated and review every quarter.

Difference between brands? At most save few dollars and spend time to wait and queue... I rather sleep...

Even fuel is free... At most save 20% of monthly car ownership cost...
