Electricity should go up even more... Let me explain why.

Crude oil in raw form very dirty and hard to use. So need to fraction and refine into various products (two of which) are diesel and petrol. Hence there is added cost to them (refined products). Electricity, however, comes from the other refined products of crude oil, so in a way, electricity is "refined" from refined products of crude oil. Another layer of costs on top.

Now, let me make a guess why electricity for EV wont go up so much... my wild guess is electricity is made available every households. So by spreading out the cost to households, the increase is better subsidised for EVs. So lets us help the EV owners tank the costs during this period.

Strange though... although many have made the change to EVs, meaning less ICE cars on the roads, meaning less demand for petrol/diesel, why petrol and diesel prices are still high? or maybe it is just my demand and supply concept failed...
95% of Singapore electricity is generated from NATURAL GAS.

If you know nothing, don't try to explain anything.

Just drove past 1. Was intending to pump, but gave up when I saw the queue. At 11.40pm, the queue is still more than 10 vehicles long. Give and take each vehicle uses 5 mins to pump, pay and whatnot, that's 50mins of waiting at the minimum!

The problem is new users don't have their card to pump. Park their car at the pump then go in to make the card. Jam up the entire queue.

Yes, the station has more than 1 pump. But all pumps were occupied. And then there were more than 10 cars waiting outside. You cannot assume all cars enter and leave at the same time.

Else why would people complain of waiting longer than 1.5 hours??

If 10 cars waiting, why the wait is 50 mins? Only 1 pump available?

Discreetly not taking action cuz sinkies can very well pay for it, to reduce or remove petrol tax will cause a surge for cheaper petrol, not helping the situation as we need to be prudent
