obviously the tourism pie is not enjoyed by all japs. only those in the tourism related business enjoy, the average jap will feel like minority in their own country. much like Sinkies during MRT rush hour.

That's the perception of ordinary Japanese towards overtourism as well as foreign migrant workers. Japanese have always viewed their own civilization as unique and in many ways, superior. They don't want foreigners to disturb/disrupt their uniquely Japanese way of life.
