Ask u all, which would u choose? Why?

1) Honda Odyssey 2.4/2.0 Hybrid(PI)
2) VW Sharan HL 2.0
3) SEAT Alhambra 2.0

4) Mazda CX9
5) Kia Sorento

Or any other u can recommend? Budget ~160K

Thanks.

I'm in the same situation as you (budget can go up to max $180k) but I'm purely looking for 7 seaters SUV. My shortlist are:

1. Mazda CX-8 - waiting for them to launch. I really like the 6 seaters version.
2. Mazda CX-9 - seems like everything is good about this car except that it's too big and it's a challenge to park in HDB carparks and old shopping centres.
3. Mercedes GLB 200 - overall seems ok but heard that the 1.3 turbo engine is too noisy and the whole car is not very mercedes.

I might want to go try Skoda too.

Skoda heard not bad.. go try Kia Sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe.. features n functions is very good with the cost. Last row for sorento is better than glb n mazda

GLB only premium n above is good with e feature

Any idea if Skoda cars break down easily? I always have this perception that conti cars are not that reliable and things break down easily. When one thing starts to break down, it will create chain reactions and other things break down one by one once the car is 3 years old.

Tested the Odyssey 2.4 EXV today. Really a passenger car. Driver will miss that TC rush. No rattling door sound. The 360 view need some getting used to. Also the super stiff leg parking brake. Smooth ride though, love the space. Chrome trimmings like really good with dark colour body.

Downside is the boot, 3rd row have to be totally collapsed to have a nice level space.

Even Estima also have the problem with the boot space.
But the good thing is can store things under the floor board

I agreed sharan might be the best in the MPV class. How’s the drive and car? I might be looking at it when I need to upgrade to MPV.

It's engine is very fun to drive - it uses the same engine as GTI. Even when fully loaded, there is no problem overtaking others at all.

handling wise it's not bad - your wife will be screaming at you way before the car will have any issues taking the corner. But it is a big car afterall - so don't push it, I don't know what will happen if you do.

suspension wise it is on the firm side, but that is understandable to minimise body roll

No sliding door don't consider.

Outlander and etc is not designed for alot of small country carpark. Difficult to get in, need large amount of space at sides to open door etc.
