Just asking about some mic recommendation as well as the cost.

So far, I could get a Razor Seiren V2 Pro around $138 that I can add to one of my purchase. I was suggested Razor Seiren Mini & Fifine k688 for mics as well.

Budget wise, well $100ish but would definitely preferred it to be cheaper than that

Purpose: Probably should have stated this, but mainly for streaming.

Edited: The mic should be a budget type ok. I just starting out so I don't need such an expensive mic that I would not be able to use to the fullest.

I prefer Blue Yeti. Been using it for gaming, conduct online meetings and training. Honestly, I won’t buy a mic with the gimmick of “gaming”.

Other good brands worth considering are Shure and Audio Technica. Consider upping that budget for a good mic.

Not for now.

I would up it in the future but for now a $100ish mic would do the trick.

I mean I would not buy it with the gimmick of gaming. I just looking at the price & sound quality of it. Looks not much unless it is like a super duper big ball that makes it hard to use

Edited 1: Just went through Shure. It looks good but definitely out of budget

Then get Fifine AM8. Once you have the budget, get an audio interface and Elgato wave.

Don't buy those gaming brand mics. Most of them dont know what they doing and are cutting corners on software or have some weird ass volume synchronization problems.

I see.

The Razor Seiren Pro V2 was only stated cos I have a deal with it being like roughly 50% off. How does the Fifine AM8 compared with the K688? (My friend recommend this to the heavens)

To be honest, if you are just pluging in to your PC Type C port. most mic which are of type c, more or less are of the same. It narrows down to noise pickup. As what @Phen8210 have mentioned, the Fifine AM8 will do just fine. If in future, you wanted to enhance the sounding of this mic, you can use it with an audio interface / console. It will not fail you as you can witness the recording I've done. Fifine AM8 using Type-C vs XLR + Audio interface. The game changer starts when you plug it to an audio interface / console.

Please note, if you intend to get this mic, as dated now. it's 82 bucks at amazon.sg.

Should probably just pay a bit more for Shure SM7B then you'll probably never need to upgrade.
Had a Blue Yeti Pro and people always complained environmental sound leaks through it, so I got the SM7B its much better. Downside is you also gotta be close to the mic or it won't pick it up.

Actually, the Blue Yeti is somewhat overrated and also overpriced. It's possibly popular yet decent enough for people to jump the gun into buying one. Also if you use a condenser mic that is what you get.

I don't deny the Shure SM7B is definitely a good mic, but it's an XLR mic without a pre-amp. In addition to this, it cost almost $500 per piece, exclude the knock outs which are at $150 to $200+ . You will need to have an audio interface for this. In addition, a boomarm is needed too. This is kind of out of the range of what TS mentioned. Well there is another mic if willing to spend abit more, the Asus ROG Carnyx. it will be pricer but it's pre amp, inclusive of a stand. The pickup is good and the noise filtration is good too.

the cheapest I can find is at $269

As TS mentioned, he wanted a budget mic. Though the SM7B is an excellent choice with an audio interface and a boom arm. It's totally out of range from being budget.

Thks for that. I did look at the Shure but that was way overpriced for the current me. I would rather buy a decent mic and use software to fix stuff.
I would definitely look at the asus rog carnyx. (it looks nice too XD)

Yep once you hear how clean the sound is from a decent mic, the shitty mics really cmi.
I cannot tahan the static sound from other people's mic :s13:

I conduct online training......my sound/voice not clear, student/trainees can give me negative feedback.
