If these PSUes failed within the warranty period, then it is time to avoid Seasonic. This happened to my Corsair PSU too before I RMA and sold the unit to move over to SuperFlower.

You and your superflower everything.

Are you a spokeperson for them?

Anyway TS, just get it replace. Corbell is more than willing to do a 1 to 1 if the PSU is indeed faulty.

It could be a poor set out of the box.

Was watching some movie earlier on then my entire PC power just died, shortly after like 2 sec there was a loud bang from my PSU and power trip to my house taking along away my IEC cables.

My spec as follows:

Asus Z170-K, 6600k
980Ti
2x SSD
1x HDD
5x 120mm fan
PSU is Seasonic M12ii 750W

lucky I had a spare PSU and tested all my hardware is still working.

So just wanted to make sure its a faulty PSU and not because of other hardware issue like underpowered etc. Any advice would be appreciate. Thanks

edited: I took out and tried to test the seasonic PSU again this time I didnt even have to on my PC, the moment i flip the PSU switch there was a loud bang and I could see sparks coming out.

Gong Xi Gong Xi.
Your PSU just exploded.
You sibei heng the explosion never damage the rest of your hardware.
You can take your Exploded PSU back for RMA.
And maybe go sell that RMA PSU you receive back if you no longer have any confidence in Seasonic.

PSU's shouldn't be tested at home, especially after it went BOOM. I would take it back to the distro and not fiddle with it further

Yes Yes, Happened to be before too. Tripped my ELCB and my main fuse plunging everything into darkness. Could see a orange glow from the back of the PC. Scary....

Gave of a hell of a lot of smoke. Stink up the whole room. Fortunately had a space PSU and tested PC working fine. No deaths. hahahah

But didn't try to troubleshoot at all. Just chuck it as it was out of warranty. Didn't want to risk another explosion and maybe fire.
