Please don't get Caterpillar brand luggage.. I got three of them and two of them have crack after several trips.. Most of my trips the luggage is packed to the fullest..

Don’t think so? You can check in with that size. But it also depends on your ticket; if your ticket has baggage restriction of say 20kg per luggage, then you have to be careful not to overpack, its easy to weigh more than 20kg if you fill up a 30” suitcase.

But some airlines allow for more so its not necessarily a problem.

28", 29" 30" luggage, if you put mainly clothing, usually will weigh around 20kg +2-3kg extra depend on how well you pack. Wont be 30kg.

I think Tangs/Robinsons have quite decent deals for luggage. I got my luggage, hard cover, quite light, around 3kg (Brand: I.T) medium size 24 or 25" for about $100 with warranty
