M.2 to pcie adapter

Planning to get Samsung 960 soon, need a m.2 to pcie adapter, any recommendation guys? My motherboard m.2 only support pcie 2.0 x2...

Wanted go down sls tomorrow to buy but whatsapp the shop and they said out of stock maybe next week restock...

Today I went but they say don't have, walk around to a number of shops and all say don't have, so in the end went back to Techdeals and ask, they say don't have but recommend me this:

This one can but its $49. Also, silverstone comes with additional SATA m.2 slot at a lower price.

At cybermind, its located opposite the rows of PC fans, just beside the MasterPro accessories.

Wah $49 is quite expensive for such a simple adapter. But then demand is likely to be very low for such things.

Using for boot drive ? If yes, did you check if your board bios allows for boot from pcie m.2 ?

Shld be fine if you update BIOS to latest. I was using the silverstone one with my Z97 Mpower. Just need to update first before reinstalling OS into it.

just like to update that i tried to install today and it worked.

just a reference here in case in the future some people need it:

i am using MSI Z97 Gaming 5 with a Samsung 960 Pro.
when i first started, windows 7 installation could not detect the samsung drive. so i googled and found out that i needed some sort of nvme driver. i grabbed a empty thumbdrive and extracted the driver files to the empty thumbdrive, and simply select the driver file in the windows 7 installation and i was good to go

please let me know if this is not allowed. the nvme drivers can be obtained here , look for "parsec" 's post and the last 2 lines was what i did.
