I thought you were the few users here who like heya and probably okay with SingTel hi!. :ROFLMAO:

I do not see much points to go with SingTel hi! S$12/S$10 4G monthly plans myself. Only SingTel hi! S$5 Senior monthly plan (4G) is worth considering.

As for M1 Maxx, you should go to dealer shops to port in to avoid the trouble. Online sign-up or Port-in will become recurring plan and may be troublesome to convert to M1 Maxx base plan.
ok, got the answer to my previous question. Thanks @xiaofan and @gapboy

IMHO, M1 Maxx base plan is too good to make any business sense for M1...

I tend to believe this M1 Maxx Base plan will be changed or even gone after the merger with SIMBA.

Potential change: plan will be suspended or cancelled after 60 days of no top-up.

Take note SIMBA grace period is only 30 days.

SingTel heya and the new SingTel hi! 4G monthly plan have grace period of 60 days.

Just my personal opinion. I understand quite some M1 Maxx users here only use the base plan...
That's assuming the 'management' at SIMBA are even proactive enough to know about this plan, let alone change it. :s13: Never doubt the (in)ability of big companies.

As long as it doesn't bleed the financials too much they may not even deep dive into this business segment to cut costs. Well, hopefully...

Actually, can just buy online and remove the card / disable auto topup / put an empty card in right?

No way to remove the card or disable auto top-up if you sign up online.

I ported out of Maxx to CUniq myself so I did not try to call 1693 to convert to base plan. It might be possible to do this way but need confirmation.

seems like after absorbing Geenet and Changi Mobile, Maxx cannot afford to have $10 5G, cos they cant offer these new users 5G at $10 where in the first place, they only have 4G

True lah. Singtel base 5G plan is $15, while starhub is also around $14.80. M1 can continue with $10 for 5G, but it won't earn them a lot as they need money to upgrade their 5G.

So offering $10 5G is not sustainable. Even Circles.life, which is using M1 5G, their 5G plans also ranges around $12
