So you port out on the day your contract end? any early termination charges?

The Singtel IDD i believe can use prepaid main wallet to redeem.
So i guess ST prepaid still the best line for OTP purpose?
$8 SIM 90days ($10 wallet = 3*180days IDD), = 21mths validity i.e = $0.38/mth

or
M1
$8 SIM 90days ($10 wallet = 3*90days), = 12mths validity i.e = $0.66/mth
That is counting new sign up.

For existing users, counting a mth as 30 days :
M1 is $3/3mth = $1 per mth.
Singtel is $3/6mth = $0.50 per mth.

That is a big difference.

Update, M1 is now $5 for 3mth, so $1.67 per mth.

Dear customers, we will be updating Maxx Terms & Conditions and Critical Information Summary with effect from 15 Oct 2024. To enjoy Base Plan @ $0 Promotion Discount, you will have to purchase any Maxx Plan or Add-On. If no Maxx Plan or Add-On is purchased for consecutive 60 days before the 1st day of each month, promotional discount will be revoked and services will be suspended. For more information, please refer to https://www.m1.com.sg/maxxtncoct24 and https://www.m1.com.sg/maxxcisoct24
Take effect from 15 Oct, so is it by 30 Nov then we have to purchase an add-on to keep the base plan valid?

If want to port out without paying for any add-on, then the last day would be about 7 days before 31 Dec?

if you plan to port out, you can only do it after contract ends and not on last day of contract. else will incur termination charges.

M1 Maxx? What contract are you guys talking about, except for the 1st month 30-day "obligation"? By then they'd have charged for the 2nd month, so port out away!

Does the 60 consecutive days include the 30 days that a plan or add on is bought or does it start after the plan we bought ended?

can always hop around porting as "new signup",
or if prefer staying as existing, can top up main balance get 120D validity & then using the $10/$11 main balance to activate extension,
i.e:
M1 $10 4mth + 2*3mth = $1/mth
ST $11 4mth + 3*6mth = $0.5/mth

This updated TnC see iiao headache. Since its WEF from Oct 15th so the 60 day window to purchase a add-on starts on Oct 15th? Whats this "before the 1st day of each month" thingy? Is mid Dec the most optimum period to purchase the add-on in order to stretch out this 60 day window?

after 60 days $5 will be charged and another 28 days the SIM will be terminated.

So If I just ignore it totally the SIM will just die and I don't owe $5 correct?

The question is I wonder when do they start counting down the 60 days. Is it 60 days starting from 15th Oct, meaning you have to purchase an add-on by 31st December, or if you are currently on the base plan and have not purchased any add-on in the last 60 days, meaning you will have until 31st Oct to purchase an add-on.

Yar wondering the same. The way they word the TnC is vague and ambiguous at best............

can explain on the calculation?

$11 4 mth + 3 × 3 mth?

I used to be on Singtel pre-paid for the best part of 3-4 years. All was good until i started getting random $1+ deductions per month for data charges i was absolutely sure i did not incur as i had setup that particular sim, through phone setting and physically dialling *360, to disable data entirely. Just do abit of reading and you will see that dodgy deductions are quite a common occurrence with Singtel prepaid. So for those thinking of jumping to Singtel better do your due diligence.
