Does anyone M1+ app suddenly stop updating the data usage for few days?

Mine was working fine last night (I checked this morning). Although, as usual, the updates are slow, like 1-2 hours behind. That's the part I dislike about M1. I always need to leave a 1GB buffer to avoid excess data charges."

i see. Cos i remember last time M1 said change to only use 5G SA. But recently, in a mall, i also found my phone connecting to 5G NSA . Most other places is 5G SA

M1 CORI SIM Only used to give free caller ID forever…. Seems like they want charge you after promo to earn that $5+ per math…….

I read that. I am now waiting out my CORI contract and leaving M1, a line at a time.

Looks like M1 page updating right now. Earlier saw price plans changed, like you can get iPhone 14 Pro Max at just $50 upfront and $55/mon for the next 2 years under CORI contract with device plan.

Then saw the page under maintenance again.

Hopefully not an error and I will take this deal if available when I recontract in Sep.

Attention: May want to check if m1 has unilaterally added on 5g subscription to your legacy line, which is chargable after 6 months.

They added that to my free line tied to bb, a line I'm not even using, and won't let me cancel until the 6 months is over!

How is this offer even worth, if its an iPhone 15 series then sure, makes sense.
Otherwise, you are just allowing M1 to offload dead stocks to you and still earning from you while being tied down.

Agreed. Don't get tied down with these telco contracts, it's 2 years.

Now Sim only plans are so affordable, there are MVNO options too. Their CORI simonly is $14.95/mth with 200GB data.

I rather you get the phone elsewhere pay via credit card installments. Sim only plans has higher data allowances than 24month contract plan.

1. Sim only $15x24mos = $360 + cost of handset (~$13xx for iPhone 14 Pro Max)
About $1700 spread in 2 years

2. Contract $55x24mos = $1320 + $50
About $1400 if advertised price is correct

Again, the price advertised is changing. So this might not be correct but if it is, it does make sense for my case.

Savings of $300 but tied down for 2 years, if its worth it for you, then good for you.

'black' / 'grey' market prices (i shall not betray the sources ) *new* phone, $1350,
price difference $2200 - $1350 ~ $850
no matter how you calculate using the world fastest supercomputer, the numbers never add up for contract.
no matter how much 'discount' / 'subsidy' they give
the only way to sign that contract is your 2 or 3 year price works out to about $1000+ instead of $2000, net for the phone without all that contract it is 1k grand difference
then plus all the *bad* network, if you get lock in 'die'

but of course you need to search your 'black' / 'grey' market prices to find it for that gaping price difference

it has become 'fashionable' telcos use 'list' prices e.g. 2k+ for their 'flagship' phones, then offer 'subsidy' or discounts, so work that 2k - subsidy and = to street black / grey mkt prices. more often than not, not possible to achieve, and one can simply *ignore* all that 'plans' assuming that you'd just get any of the 'no contract' plans from any telco. e.g. for that matter your existing line that you may already be using

actually, telco contracts are like 'coe's, which create a 'resell value' for some phones that may otherwise be priced much lower. cos those who *signed* the contracts, won't part with their phones if they 'lose too much', for an 'upgrade'

a bad news tend to be, as soon as you buy a flagship phone, the next new 'flagship' is about to be released to keep it at that $2k price tag
