Rumours were M4 in Oct & M4 Pro in late Oct but IMO that doesn’t make sense. Either launch together or a month apart mah. What’s the point in launching 1 or 2 weeks apart?

For basic user no difference but since this is clearly bothering you, just return it lah. Especially if you bought from Apple directly its even easier.

Rather than you live with regrets once M4 comes out & you see how nice it is, by then too late to return.

Specs out liao. I’m aiming:

• Apple M4 Pro chip with 12‑core CPU, 16‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine
• 24GB unified memory
• 1TB SSD storage
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI port, two USB‑C ports, headphone jack

Then still need apple magic trackpad and magic keyboard. With apple care, total damage $3,056. Then still got Studio Display

Big hole in pocket but my intel MBP cannot liao. And unlike my iphone, my computer normally is use until conk lah so, still worth it

Those who can wait can wait for the discount on Apple’s lazada/shopee store. Or wait 3 mths or so for the new Mac mini to appear on the Apple refurbished store, should be price around $700.

Bro you use for what? Basic model should be enough for most people. That listed price you might as well get base m4 max Mac Studio base model in a few months.

Cheapest studio probably close to $3000 and still havent add apple care & keyboard & trackpad.

I see. Yeah student price is 2599, but m4 max is a much better chip vs pro. If want go high spec mini might as well go for Mac Studio already
