I am experiencing a graphic issue on my current Mac M1 Mini where lines appear on the screen when displaying dark content. I have tried different HDMI cables and even using a USB-C to HDMI, but the issue still persists. I am wondering if the newer M2 Mini has addressed this issue

Try updating your MacOS. Or maybe a firmware update from the monitor manufacturer?

I am currently using macOS 13.2. However, when I connect the same monitor to a Windows PC or laptop with 4K resolution, I don't experience the graphics issue that I am facing on my Mac. I have used the same HDMI cables and USB-C to HDMI adapter, but the problem persists only on MAC.

That is strange. Maybe you should try reaching out to Apple and see what they say. Probably a driver issue.

Got mine at 709 from Apple under student discount. Also, apple care for student is 119 sgd, total 828 for 3 year warranty
Can share how you got it down to $709? I still see $849 in AppleSG (educ discount is 10%), and $799 in Courts. $80 coupon code in Courts is not applicable for this item.

Thanks.

Idk, when I saw it was 709. Anyway I cancelled my order since I don’t need it. You just check again on education store base model.

Do you guys use Mac mini with mouse or touchpad? I never used touchpad before, even for laptop I always used mouse. I am curious if touchpad will provide a better experience than mouse or not….. thinking to try, but it is not cheap so might end up be a big waste of money.

I'm using my iMac with the Magic Trackpad, and will never go back to the mouse.
I never use trackpads on work laptops either, but the Magic Trackpad is a totally different experience.

It's literally weightless since I'm only using my finger, so any mouse will feel heavy by comparison. It saves me from having to feel for the mouse after typing, so I don't have to take my eyes off the display at all.

It also feels a lot more precise to me than a mouse. Takes some time to get used to, but it should be second nature within a few days.

Game changer for me.

Definitely good for web browsing and general usage. If you require accuracy, a mouse will still be useful.

Usually when will the first wave of promotion for mac mini after released?
Just watch Shopee and Lazada.

Last week I saw the new M2 MBP which were released alongside the M2 Mac Mini at 7-10% off. That was quite shocking for a new product and the discount is so substantial.

No wonder all 256 & 512 models are sold out in lazada😅
It was the M2 MBP that were on discount, not the M2 Mac Mini. The M2 Mac Mini is not sold out, Apple sometimes don't list new products to sell on Shopee/Lazada to sell on the first day of release.
