1. How do u find the app that u installed? (eg in Win, u can goto control panel and click on add/remove appl to see the list)
2. how do you actually uninstall an appl in Macbook? I mean total clean uninstall.

this is not Windows.

Trash your application to the trash and that's it.

macbook resets preference settings when i shut down and restart.....my dock settings, my documents gone, desktop pic change when i restart......anybody know y? Very frustrating man...

an app in mac is actually folders of files but displayed as a simple icon. to uninstall just throw the thing into the bin like wad chika said.

Due to problems getting mp4s into itunes, i decided to do a reinstalling of my itunes.
I am using OS X 10.4.11 Can someone tell me how to do a clean reinstallation?

1 Make sure your power adapter is connected and plugged in.

2 Insert the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 that came with your computer.

3 Double-click Install Mac OS X and Bundled Software. When prompted, choose the "Erase & Install" option.

4. Run Software Update right after reboot to upgrade to the latest version.

But is there any other way which dun need the Install disc?

Becos i dun have the OS X 10.4 install disc with me.

Will it be "clean" by just deleting all the itunes files and install again?

Why can't you import mp4? It's most likely your mp4 isn't standard compliant instead of it being iTunes' fault.

Whenever i add to library or drag & Drop the mp4 into itunes,

nothing happens and the mp4 does not appear anywhere in itunes.

I can't seem to find the solution. I tried using VideoDrive to add the file

into itunes and the error msg below appeared.

Heres some pic to let u all see if i made any mistake.

I am using iPhone video converter and itunes 7.6.2.

Pls help and thanks.

My guess is your iTunes' Movies sub-folder is not writable or your iTunes database is corrupted.

1. Try copying a file (any file) into your iTunes' /Movies sub-folder. You can find this folder by selecting an existing .mp4 in your iTunes and "Show in Finder." If you can't copy into it... that folder is locked. Get Info on it and fix its Permissions.

2. Press and hold the Option key and launch iTunes. iTunes will prompt you to "Choose the Library" or "Create Library." Choose the later. Your new iTunes library is empty; drag & drop your mp4... see how. If it shows up, your old iTunes Library is corrupted. If not, repeat the process and choose your old Library to revert changes.

juz wanna ask if i install windowxp on my mac using boot camp do i run a risk of getting like bug/virus/watever that is targeting window? if so then does it mean to have a antivirus/internet sercurity installed together with it to be safe?

HI all... i am intending to use bootcamp soon.
But i just need some clarification.... i cant exceed 32GB for a partition for windows is it?
if not , it would be considered as NTFS and i wun be able to write the partition in mac?
am i right to say so?
please advice....
totally new to the mac world... but loving it

Hmm... your iTunes.app is confirmed up-the-lorry. Here's how to reinstal it.

1. Download a fresh copy. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
2. Download and run Onyx's Automation. Follow the instrutions as outlined here, under "Prep the Mac with Onyx".
3. Install iTunes immediately after you booted up in Safe Mode.

There's no need for a seperate partition just to share files; Parallels creates short-cut for you to access your files in your OS X.

You can even drag & drop files between the OSes.
