can i use MacFuse with HFSX / “Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive)"? and still allow windows PC to read my 2.5" HDD?

and how do i reformat my current external HDD to NTFS-3G?? (it is now "mac os extended (case sensitive))

hihi! i just got my 15in unibody on thurs!! lovin it! but i seem to have a prob with my printer.. using hp deskjet F2280 (installed as the 2200 series in Mac and Windows).. but whenever i try to print stuff, it seems like the two-sided option is permanently off! Ive tried searching online but to no avail.. so my qn is, is there anyway to activate it? or is it just a stupid driver problem? thanks!!

NTFS-3G is an addon to install on your mac to enable read-write capability on a mac with an ntfs drive. If your drive is currently formatted to MAC OS Extended format, you can install macmate on your windows computer to read the mac drive.

NTFS-3G is not a format. It's a program to read NTFS drives on a mac. NTFS is for windows. MAC OS extended is for mac.

someone has observed that certain sites that uses flash also drives the temp up. is your temp around 50-60 when surfing the net? i am off facebook now and on HWZ, and temp is 53DEG. if i go facebook and on some flash games, it will goes up to 70+ DEG.

then again. how to cool? that's the CPU temp. isn't it?

ok. im surfing net. theres only one tab. and my msn is on. and nth else. but i do not noe why for a certain period of time. my mbp made a. bemg sound.. less than a minute and there will be one bemg sound. ok the bemg sound's name is "funk" i when to system preference den sound and i heard the alert sound. anyone can help me?

if he is from nus, then no. u need 18 months plus no outstanding notebook loan.. if he loaned from the sch to buy notebook, he has to repay the loan first plus wait 18months since last purchase to buy..

You need a windows box to format to NTFS if i remember correctly.

hello, this is regarding my about this mac problem...i've done a clean install twice and still 'startup disk: macintosh hd' doesn't show up in my about this mac like when before i upgraded the hdd.

i hope not showing up is not a problem or is it?

PS. it only shows up when a dvd, thumbdrive, ipod, iphone etc is plugged in

go to finder and see if its there? if it is u can always place an icon at desktop.. btw since u can start up i believe its only a missing icon prob..

GOSH, we already mentioned that it ONLY shows up when you have 2 or more disks. It isn't a bug/problem.

It's already answered here, and to answer why it happened with your OLD HDD, no one can give you a sure answer. It's been this way since 10.4.X-ish. I can assure you it doesn't appear by default unless you have a drive, CD/DVD, thumbdrive, partition on your HDD. If you would like it to appear, i guess you can always leave a thumbdrive plugged in 24/7 or create a Boot Camp partition.

I can't believe you actually clean installed OS X twice? I think by now you should have realised that after two clean installs, it is the correct/default function not to display "Startup Disk" if only one volume exists.
