Sheesh!!! I am gobsmacked!!! I've been waiting and waiting and even had one of those online sites to monitor the Apple SG site for me. Plenty of these models came up on the Apple Canada site but none for Apple SG.

yes it is.. as long as you go into apple's site via the link they gave you. 3%+6% ftw !
Being the cautious me, i called ocbc to confirm and confirm again for the 3%, (at least the call is recorded if any discrepancy, i can then trace back to the call i made )

if not you will get at least the 6% rebate because that transaction is >sgd$500

Tried to get the RAM and 2nd hdd cable from amazon, but none of the 2nd hdd cable in amazon can be delivered using the free shipping. Frustrated and end up buying 16GB of crucial RAM at Sim Lim since I cannot meet the min USD125 for free shipping. Price at Sim Lim is $198 for 2x 8GB Crucial.

Bro R4YMOND, where are you intending to get 2nd hdd cable? I'm interested.

New mini only has duo core and its RAM are soldered. Old mini has quad core and upgradable RAM
In exchange, new mini has better graphics capabilities and lower starting price.

the apple refurb store had it for a few days in Feb but it is unavailable since.

ebay and amazon have it for over USD$1000++ currently.

unless you absolutely need quad core/8 thread, i think its more economical to buy the 2014 mid i5 model with 8gb ram plus 256gb ssd upgrades at $948 + $280 and then upgrade the storage with a dual hdd kit and 2nd hdd.

When you're slow on 4gb, will regret why didn't go 8gb. When you're slow on 8gb, will not complain because 16gb is expensive
