Try switch from macOS Sequoia developer beta to "MacOS Sequoia 15.1 Developer beta by ticking the "I" icon under genera/software update/beta updates then you'll see the 15.1 developer beta instead of just the one with no version number...then after install you'll see the Siri/Apple intelligence setting.

I just installed, now it doesn't read my thumb drive as it the folder does not appear on the desktop, but appears in Disk Utility.

Prior on Sonoma, was fine.

i installed on mine yesterday. i wiped the whole sdd and fresh install.
now my mac is good as new.
only waiting for apple intelligence

Ah.. after seeing all of you install and seeing more reports online on Reddit of people who installed without issues, I took the leap this morning to install.

So far so good. Haven't noticed any issues. Happy that now I can uninstall Rectangle!

I didn't do a fresh install though. All my past upgrades via Software Update no issues, so I always just upgrade via Software Update

Ahh, I found out 1 issue after installing Sequoia 15.0.

Now my Fantastical calendar app cannot sync. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Also checked Network under System Settings to see if anything was blocking Fantastical from syncing but there is nothing there.

I do fresh install cause i want to make it like a new mac.
depending on your model, you can hold comd + option and R key

Normally im lazy to fresh install though its recommended but i’ve not done so since dunno how long. Probably more than six years since i seem to remember my current MBP 2018 was migrated lock stock & barrel from my iMac using the migration assistant & TimeMachine back up.

Planning to get new mac mini & will probably just migrate the settings only since my docs, pics & videos are synced to Microsoft OneDrive so i can always download from there though it may take ages.

But yeah probably better in long run especially after my recent installation of Office 365 seems to have fubared how OneDrive syncs to my hard disk. Probably screwed with my previous Office for Mac.

Relak lah. Apple news release already said:

“Starting next month, macOS Sequoia will introduce Apple Intelligence”.

“Apple Intelligence will be available with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15.1”.

Now is not next month and now is Sequoia 15 not 15.1.
