My 2018 MBP 13 has severe battery bloat, now I think a replacement will cost me dearly

Replaced my Late 2013 MBP 15” bloated battery at Apple Orchard back in 2018, total damage is: $288, new battery + new keyboard, trackpad and top chassis.

How long did you wait?

Apple web shows $288 for out of warranty Touch Bar models (or was it non touchbar)

The shell of my MacBook is also bent, wonder if they will replace that as well for $288

My MBP Late 2013 Retina LCD is the batch affected by anti reflective coating peeling off and I miss the replacement windows set by Apple as i don’t even know until I check Apple website and my MBP also out of warranty, ended AppleCare on April 2017.

When to A.Lab Changi City Point on Feb 2019 and quote $800 to replace new Retina LCD, called Apple support SG then link me all the way to Apple support New Zealand talk to senior Apple support staff and acquired a CS Code, then got it for free and I am a happy Apple customer.

If u need it then buy now. You can never keep up with technology unless u got a lot of $$$ to burn.

Agree. Can never keep up. Just buy and use. For me I just purchase the laptop once they launched the back to school promo. No regrets.
