I notice when I open MP4 videos now, quite a few of them the system says "verifying" followed by file name. And even after its verified, when I close it and immediately reopen, again it has to verify. Is this normal? Its opening in Quicktime by default. Never had this prior to High Sierra.

No user data is lost by resetting it.

By the way I've tried a few times already, even after the supplementary update to no avail.

not only video files or quick time, i have this problem with Movist, and zip files...

looks like High Sierra's problem, a lot of users are frustrated, hope Apple fixes this in next update.

Try IINA? It’s a media player better than VLC designed for Mac. And it’s open source.

I vaguely recall under wallpaper settings, can set to change wallpaper automatically..

Hi guys, just a precautionary, don’t install any update prompted by Apple. Think it is not stable or maybe was unlucky. My update went haywire and was prompted with the “missing file” message. Sigh, just reformatted the whole OS and harddisk!
