No need to create a new account just for the purpose of telling people not to buy from MadCow man.

What did you buy that did not arrive on time? If it is Ryzen 5000, RTX 30xx, or RX 6000 series, there's nothing new. The problem is not only with MadCow. If they don't get allocation from distributor, how can they deliver the item to you? There are a lot of these sorts of pre-order nowadays. You pay and wait till they finally decide to call you to pick up or send you. The good thing about MadCow is that they are a proper and reputable store, so not like those shady potentially fly by night seller on Carousell.

Lol i think OP didn't do any research nor monitor the market. Now is not the matter of u got money or not, it's whether got stock or not. If got stock are you going to pay the extra? But i am pretty sure Mad cow take in alot of orders and its pre-order.

I think there is nothing wrong with the shop. Its the practice of an open ended pre-order which will eventually cause issues because they don't get stock, they cannot fulfill angry/ impatient customers' order. I was a victim of this as well when I pre-ordered my RX 6800 XT from them as well. But Jess told me, no ETA from distributor, so I can't really ding her for it. She only put herself in a difficult position by doing these pre-order before getting any confirmation from the distributors. I suspect even the distros cannot give a definite date and how many units they are getting.

Got my pre-ordered GPU from Madcow. Did it take very long? Yes, to the point I got really restless but to be fair, the card I ordered was not even released in any shop locally. The moment someone got it locally, I got the call from her on the same day to go down to collect liao. In a sense TS isn’t wrong about Madcow over committing to delivery dates but in I really do not see it as their fault.

What i getting at is, if you know you are going to pre order a very "hot" item. expect it to have ups and downs. nothing to do with madcow, i know madcow existence since they are at AMK haha

Thanks for the review. I ordered a gpu also, and the estimated shipping date is in March.

The card has already been charged, but I gather that this is protected under Shopee Guarantee until the date in March, so there is some protection. Also, i did a lookup on the Madcow reputation and it does seem legit.

Dont buy anything from Mad Cow Computer, your item wont reach for promising date.

Sure then, then forget about building pc at this point of time where no one is sure about stocks too. Save ur money and dont buy any of them instead

Bought my 1080ti from him a couple of years ago. Going by anecdotal evidence, my experience with them is perfectly fine. In face I even managed to apply some coupons etc with that purchase. In the end, it all boils down to stock. Even SLS shop got price list of the items, but go down no stock.

I bought my older rig from her some years back. Nothing wrong with her shop leh. TS, if u talking about GPUs or Ryzen CPUs... everywhere is the same, not only Madcow affected. Unless u never get ur refund, then it's a different story.

Beware of auto cancellation from shopee and graphic card might charge higher price in that time.

That why now pre order are at risk due to the multiple price changes on GPU for the past few months, on reddit some even ordered since Oct, the order just got cancelled with no recourse

Have not brought anything from them before.... no comments on their services.

Business as usual, if they cannot fulfill during covid and you did not lost any $$$... if you think that you have a legal case, why don't u make a police reports? instead of hiding behind a 2 posts account ?

Disagreed, if cannot get stock in time. Don't promise customer to deliver by asking them to pay first.
This technique is similar to those putting up low price but unable to fulfill order.

Also becareful those pre order. They are waiting to collect enough order to get discount from supplier. If they cannot get enough order, they may cancel your order.

Madcow don’t really commit to a date for delivery of their pre-order. If you go bug her, like I did, she will just say like next month or coming soon but nothing really concrete. To be fair, if not pre-order, your only other ways to get GPu locally these days is to camp outside shop with stock or to buy from scalpers. Taking pre-order and having to wait seems like the more certain way to get the card you want, albeit a long waiting time.

My thought is unless you are super chill on when you get the product, dont go down the road of pre-order. Unless you pre-order direct from the brand, the chances of pre-order being unfulfilled on the first estimated delivery day is pretty high, especially in the current climate.
I ordered a in-stock but extremely popular monitor from a very "reputable" retailer. However, they messed out my order and it turned into a pre-order. They missed 3 delivery estimated and had to go "official silent" on me after constant chasing from me.
