Disagreed, if cannot get stock in time. Don't promise customer to deliver by asking them to pay first.
This technique is similar to those putting up low price but unable to fulfill order.
Also becareful those pre order. They are waiting to collect enough order to get discount from supplier. If they cannot get enough order, they may cancel your order.
Look, nowhere on their sales thread did they mentioned you will get a confirmed date. On the Shopee listing, they have clearly mentioned if price goes up, you pay the difference, while price goes down, they will pay you back the difference. I think that is fair and square.
Also nobody asks you to preorder something with no confirmed delivery date. I've mentioned time and again, that I don't encourage this sort of open ended preorder and to potential buyers to take note. But if people still want to go ahead, there is not much I can do. So if people don't want to wait for stocks to be available in stores, and want to take shortcut by means of "preorder", then it is a risk that you will waste your time. Based on others' testimony and my dealing with the store, I am sure they won't fly by night unlike those shadey Carousell sellers that just created a new account for the purpose of scalping and doing preorders.
