While we're paying only a fraction of normal subscription fee to watch all these channels, the content provider can't guarantee 100% up time. There are too many uncertainty behind. If Maige can compensate the downtime, this is the best that they can do.

I am not covering relacker but only try to give all of you my past experience of iptv. I share the same feelings of frustration and anger with all of you as a consumer.

@pinkey &@luvbitez, didn't they compensate us 45 days for the down time from Sept 24 - Oct 11 which is lesser than 45 days?

Yes. Compensated 45days. But do u know how miserable am i for the last 15days without TV? The 15days felt like so long....45 - 15 = 30. 30days is worth about $10. Very great?

You have missed out one thing: why you cannot find it selling openly in the shops.

Iptv ride on the grey area, it is supposed to be illegal. The raid in HK during World Cup last year give you a hint.

The China government this time is very tough on the online media contents, inclusive of iptv. If Maige insisted to treat it as per normal and business as usual, it might get into great trouble. You might be getting a brick instead of just only half a month's of inconvenience.

I think we need to set the expectation right.

The business model of this iptv is build upon several risk factors on the service provider's part. They risk of clamp down by the authority, they risk cyber attack by competitors, they risk actions taken by the TV channels owners ( like TVB or even Media Corp ).

Anyone who could not accept these perhaps should stick on to Starhub or MioTV.

I suffered as much too the last 15 days. If you read my previous thread, I said I have been pulling my hair every night.

If u are talking about expectation, i have actually been very tolerant with this set top box. The chances of the tv programme getting scrambled is quite frequently on 307 卫视. Just last night about 10.45pm watching ip man 叶问 scrambled freeze and never come back. I last check before i slept about 2am still not back yet. All these i don't post in here grumble and complaint for the past 1year. It is because of this stupid prolonged extensive downtime which is totally unacceptable. U think i never experience all these sh*t previously when i didn't complain? I was just managing my expectation on this iptv.

Again, i am saying the high cost of iptv set top box $415 was the main issue. We were assured of certain quality standard and they went MIA just like that sending us into cold turkey.

For the past weeks, Haze + No Iptv...when there is haze i try not to go out as much as possible. But no TV to watch. What does Maigetv expect me to do?

I am already NOT expecting that much from this set top box, but can they wake up the idea and give adequate service to subscribers?

We can cut short here, you hv a choice: sell your box and stay away from iptv. Why make yourself so miserable when there's nothing that you can do.

I think miotv or starhubtv suits your needs better. Stable without glitch and wont make you miserable

been reading this thread and just wanted to share my opinion.
IPTV is not for everyone. end of the day, there's mainly only 3 choices.

want reliable and willing to pay: subscribe to miotv or starhub tv.
want to pay lesser with semi-reliability: subscribe to maige tv or...ejointv?
dont want to pay anything with zero reliability: try android apps.

but i agree that relacker is most of the time hopeless. from what i observed, he sells himself as a maige tv authorised partner, but i suspect whenever there are issues; he's just as lost as the most of us.

so i guess thats the main problem.....he sets unrealistic expectations of the service when everyone knows theres a certain risk of subscribing to an IPTV service.

$415 can afford or not or meant alot to me or not is beside the point. I am willing to pay what it is worth. But can maigetv deliver the standard of service? Are you saying that if u go to hawker centre stall people sell u 1plate of normal chicken rice at $30(other stalls sell $3) and u are willing to pay $30 for it just because u can afford it? Yr silly statement about the affordability to me doesn't make sense at all...Sars8888, u dun even have the cheek to response to my point still can smile...yr superficial effort to make me look bad has failed...please try harder next time ok...
