hi guys, can intro a box to me ? I use mainly to watch BPL, Crime Investigation , Local channels and also VODs alot..
I am holding on to 2 box of Maige and my relatives also have, so now we are looking out for others.. Please do help, thanks.

In this thread only introduce ubox 2...haha
after i install a very big file size kodi video source the vod become patchy at time...
So best is use a separate box for kodi if possible.

UB is a sub S$50 box, bundled with UB's IPTV. So actually the users are paying over $100 for the IPTV. Take it as small gamble, if the IPTV last more than 3 years, then it is a good buy.

Maige's movie database, live channels, and Chinese dramas are dead. But its USA, HK, Korea, Japan dramas are still working though, albeit not updated.
My guess is that the server for [USA, HK, Korea, Japan dramas] are located offshore and not in China, while they have switched off the China server, which is for [movie database, live channels, and Chinese dramas].

You paid a high premium $400 for a tv box, and yet you are not informed on where and how they get their movie sources. If Maige indeed maintain their own servers and have their own movies sources, did she pay copyrights fee to the movie owners? If they indeed had paid copyrights fee, why are they mum on where their servers are?
If their movie sources are obtained illegally, why pay such a high premium for such a box? Anytime their movie links will be dead again.
It is good for the 7days playback and the incomplete set of VOD.
In term of vod, kodi win. In term of 7days quality playback maige win. Nonetheless, is still not worth the price when it was considered as unstable all along and should not be charging $415 for the box and us$100 for the annual fee...not worth it.
Heng ah! Now i am outside going back home to enjoy my ubox 2 happily ever after...

Just sharing my reply from maige:
Dear Customer!
The Maige TV service is experiencing server problems.
The factory is currently working on a permanent solution to prevent such issues in the future. Unfortunately this takes time. Current ETA for recovery is mid December. For some channels and locations it might happen sooner though.
The downtime period will be compensated with additional subscription once the service is restored.
We understand your frustration and apologize for the problems. The current issue affects most of the Chinese IPTV providers and many of those probably won't survive it. Maige is a big enough service though and will recover once the necessary steps are taken.
Until then we kindly ask you for patience.
